The Bell Inn

This is our third visit so that says something. Todays meal was excellent, Christmas decorations beautiful, staff amazing. Everything we hoped and more.

Our lunch didn’t start well, waiting to go into the dining room we overheard the manager shouting at her staff over a problem at a table saying she was now “going to have to comp” said table! Once we were seated we had a wait of almost 50 minutes for our meal, we were 2nd sitting and it wasn’t overly busy, and as we had ordered 3 roast lunches and a steak we were a bit surprised to have to wait so long. Once the food arrived the roast dinners were very good.

Good food served by pleasant and efficient staff.. Lovely old pub, room full of character .

Excellent food and service as normal. Will definitely be back.

The table of six was intrusive as noise levels were high and we felt a little uncomfy.

We both enjoyed our meal at The Bell. Everything about it was really satisfying. The food , service , atmosphere and the overall ambience was just right. We will certainly go back again soon.

An excellent place to eat and, indeed, to have a big celebration. Ian and his wife are wonderful hosts and I wish we were able to visit more often.

No complaints at all about the meals but not a fan of being served steak on a wooden board because the sauce just runs off onto the table . Service good , staff very pleasant

Dined here during overnight stay with my partner. The staff were efficient and friendly and the food was really lovely. I had the sea bass with seafood risotto and my partner had the vegetable wellington. Both dishes were served really hot and were delicious. I would certainly visit again if in the area

Lovely lunch served outside in the covered area by friendly and helpful staff. Lunch menu is great value with two courses for £13.50. The local pie was delicious!

Booked for Sunday lunch after a recommendation from our son. The Sunday did not disappoint, it was lovely, hot and freshly cooked. The serve was good and overall a good experience, we plan on a return visit.
