The Birch Room Manchester offers a unique French-inspired high tea within Manchester’s gorgeous 5-star Radisson Blu Edwardian Hotel. This is everything a city centre venue should be, by which we mean an informal spot for lunch or afternoon tea with high ceilings and stylish bespoke furniture that compliment the menu just perfectly. You’ll find an exquisite patisserie selection, freshly baked scones, homemade finger sandwiches and plenty more besides in this charming spot. All of which go perfectly alongside tea or coffee of course, although pairing them with a glass of Champagne goes down quite nicely in our opinion. Situated in the city centre’s impressive Free Trade Hall on Peter Street, the grade II listed building is the ideal spot to indulge in the high tea tradition. Reservations at The Birch Room are essential!

Get a table before they're gone
Lovely afternoon tea recently - had traditional afternoon tea and gentleman's and both were lovely. Service was very good too - lovely waitress. We'll be back 😀
It wasnt the best service compared to other 5* hotels. We were placed on a table in the corner of the restaurant and had to search for a waiter multiple times to get top ups. However, they did surprise the bride to be with a complementary cake.
Food was disappointing. Had to send a Pavlova back. The inside was so dense that I could not get a spoon through it. The rest of the meal was just okay but not up to the standard of many of the restaurants to be found near by,
