Arrived at 1 pm ( as booked) shown straight to table.. next... asked if we would like a drink.. menu given .. we showesd roast.. drinks arrived and now to get dinner.. .. ". Delicious.. ". Had a rest to let dinner settle... Then the desert trolley arrived and chose a pudding !! No problem..we will go yet again 🙂 x

Very friendly reception- no problem that we were only 3 despite booking for 4. Excellent selection on the drinks list including good non alcoholic options. Enticing Italian menu- main course pancakes were lovely. Good Shopping too- real panettone and Italian Easter eggs and chocolate Good value But make sure to follow satnav!!

Had a fantastic meal meat was lovely with plenty of vegetables, staff as always very attentive, was very busy when we went but nothing was too much trouble for everyone.

Really was looking forward to going back here after a hiatus of many years. Felt very welcome when we arrived. It was not at all busy. We booked in for the Sunday carvery and opted for the 3 meat choice. When we went to get our food it was just such a let down. Stingy with the meat and we were not able to help ourselves to the veg selection, it had to be served to us. Talk about portion control!! The cauliflower ‘cheese’ should have been reported to the trading standard authorities, for being described as having cheese, when it was distinctly lacking in any cheese flavour. The desserts were lacking in choice. Won’t be back. Sorry Black Horse, you need to check out what a real carvery is.

Initially we were placed in the middle of a busy restaurant surrounded by families with young children. My husband has difficulty hearing in noisy environments. The lovely staff were only too happy to move us when an area became available which suited us fine. Otherwise wonderful as always.

It was recommended to me and I can see why. The food, service and atmosphere are amazing and the dessert trolley was worth waiting for even though we.we’re full from the Sunday carvery dinner.

The staff were absolutely amazing. Extremely friendly and efficient. They were fantastic with our children especially our youngest who took a liking to the desert lady 😀 Thank you very much, we had a lovely meal in a beautiful setting. See you again soon x

This was a spontaneous family lunch for 3 adults and a child. It was a lovely time - delicious exciting food, presented and served well.

We were staying for one night in the campsite opposite and didn't fancy cooking. From the moment we checked the pub out on their website we were impressed. We checked it out, liked what we saw, and booked a table on line in minutes. When we arrive for our meal we were greeted and seated very warmly by the lady who was to look after us during our meal. I've given 5* to every question asked but would also like to say. The food was fabulous, great fresh veg, home made pies, very reasonably priced and PLENTIFUL!! as was the wine!!!! Well done the Black Horse Inn. We look forward to returning one day soon.

The carvery was lovely. Beef was cooked to perfection. Large choice of meat and roast potatoes were good. The veg was interesting but not varied enough in colour- all very yellow. Reasonably priced too. Very attentive staff.

Very welcoming and lovely atmosphere. Wonderful food with a good choice and not rushed. Good beer selection and food with an Italian accent . Very easy parking and although the restaurant is spacious it has a friendly local pub atmosphere. if the weather is good there is plenty of outside seating as well . My favourite place.

A lovely family-run pub and restaurant, with a vibrant, family atmosphere. Nothing is too much trouble and time is taken to make you feel welcomed and valued. Very pleasant interior, first class food. All round: molto, molto, molto bene!

The meal was very good, and good value for money. The service was a little surprising as we almost got the wrong meal, but this only added a little hilarity and increased the enjoyment.
