A beautiful setting with lovely, friendly staff. We were welcomed very warmly by the staff at The Black Horse, the food was all very nice and the service was excellent. We would certainly recommend and will be returning in the future.

Very pleasant and helpful staff but unfortunately quite an ordinary meal. The menu is Italian which was not what we found when we searched Google for the menu - but no doubt our mistake as we didn’t check when it was posted! On the whole it was disappointing.

The Italian food is exceptional. A hidden gem of a place worth finding in the middle of nowhere.

We were warmly welcomed & seated by a log fire. Our food was cooked perfectly to our tastes. It was delicious & thoroughly enjoyed by all. The desserts were a highlight of our visit. Will be back as soon as we can.

We had a very good meal and the service was lovely. Our group especially liked the pudding trolley.

There are few places that make you feel like your coming home. This is one of them. A beautiful building tucked away in the Kent countryside with a great big fireplace with logs burning and a really warm welcome from the hosts. The menu is Italian focused and fantastic. It's always a pleasure visiting here and we will look forward to our next visit.

We love this place, family owned and family run. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The welcome is always warm and sincere and the food well cooked and plentiful. Bonus point: For a restaurant they keep the Gadds bitter superbly!

Tasty, beautiful, well cooked Italian food, very friendly and attentive service. They also have a specialist Italian deli shop once a month, and Italian nights, so do check it out. Can't wait to go back x

It's a pub, but it's also an authentic Italian restaurant. Try the cheeses, they are a speciality - and leave space for the sweet trolley.

After a day driving up through France and outragious UK Border Force delays at Calais the Black Horse was the perfect antedote to our tiredness and frustration. The warmness of the welcome and service throughout and seriously good food was outstanding.

The Black Horse is truly a hidden gem and unique to the area as so many pubs are being taken over by business groups, becoming overly expensive and with a focus on burgers. We love the authentic Italian food, which is delicious and well priced as well as the Italian Deli which is there once a month. Staff are exceptional in their personal attention and pride in what they do.

Excellent food, service and location. Can't wait to go again.
