Boasting all the key components of a proper British pub: hearty, home-style cuisine, a cosy ambience and a hefty selection of real ales, The Boars Head is not only a favourite among Hampton Lucy’s locals, but its convenient location just off of the M40 and a short drive from Warwick and Stratford-upon-Avon, make it the perfect pit stop for visitors exploring the surrounding area, too. Tuck into a juicy burger, a steak, or go for a British classic like the cumberland sausages with mash and onion gravy. The hand-carved farmhouse ham served with two eggs and chips is great as well. Drawing in diners from all over, you’ll find The Boars Head situated on Church Street in Hampton Lucy – book ahead to guarantee a table!
Wonderful Sunday lunch after a glorious walk around Charlcote Park. The choice was great and the quality of the food was very high - beautifully cooked and attentive cheerful staff.
Very nice local pub with a lovely atmosphere and food was great too x Staff very helpful and attentive will definitely be visiting again very soon
Excellent service and good quality food. Busy but food was quickly served. Will go again in the future. Good selection of beers. Friendly helpful service.
Visit on a regular basis and food always excellent and staff always very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.
When we arrived someone else was sitting at our table and the staff plonked us on another reserved table, which was booked for slightly later. The staff spent a lot of time chatting and hugging behind the bar! So the service was not great! There was a private party in the back of the pub with children who stood looking at us through the window pulling faces which was rather annoying! We asked one of the staff do ask them to stop which they did but it did rather disturb our meal, having kids banging the window and pulling faces at us whilst we tried to enjoy the food! Also before we had finished our meal the people who’s table we had been seated in arrived and had nowhere to sit! The stood at the end of the table h “Hovering” waiting for us to move! I had steak which was very tasty my mum had the lambs liver and bacon which was over done and not very nice. The scampi and chips was as expected. Overall I would say it was ok and perhaps on a different day it might be better ☹️
We thought that the evening was good, The Boars Head had a great atmosphere and the food was delicious, presented and served very well it, we would certainly go there again.
Just lovely. Bright and clean with vety friendly staff. Good but uncomplicated menu with fantastic specials. Food very hot and tasty. Certainly not overpriced and overall a really nice experience. Not our first visit and most certainly not our last.
Excellent good quality, home cooked food. Fab portions and all freshly cooked. Service good. Decor nice and fresh and homely. We had fresh bartered fish and chips which was delicious, home made lasagne and gammon. All tasty and well cooked
We were very pleased with the quality of the food and the promptness of service. The decor was interesting but not intrusive. Members of the party said they would like to return. There is a pleasant outdoor seating area.
A regular haunt for us. Excellent choice of quality foods, large portions, served hot, and tasty, and great 'pub' atmosphere, with a really nice bar and kitchen team. Accommodating chef for the gluten intolerant amongst us.
