The China Room

It was our first visit to The China Room. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful, service was good, our evening wasn't rushed and the food was lovely.

We really enjoyed our meals - great food with a great atmosphere in the restaurant. We would highly recommend the China Room to any one.

Excellent traditional chinese food, good service and a very enjoyable evening. The China Room offers authentic chinese quisene in a very nice setting. Excellent value for money .

Great food and personal service not the cheapest but excellent value - however, they need to turn on the heating when it gets to November!

Good food, reasonable prices Monday to Thursday 3 courses for £12.95, drinks a bit pricey, pint of Boddingtons draught £3.50 Pint of Coke £3.20 but the food makes up for it, nice decor and pleasant staff.

first time for us eating at the china rooms and i have to say the food is lovely the staff are nice and polite service was excellent, i think we have just found our new Favourite Chinese restaurant , dont let the outside put you off as its really nice inside , would recommend to anyone

The dining area was quite small and extremely noisy with lots of large parties. Service was fast and the food was very good. Left as soon as we had finished eating due to the volume of noise. I would go back but maybe midweek when it woul be less packed.

Fabuolous food, servive and the magician is brilluant!! Great ribs and duck in pancake not too pricey! Goid selection of wines too. Its a recommend!

Table ready when we arrived followed by the usual good service and excellent food. Would have been a six but where have the tablecloths gone?

this is the second time ive been to china rooms and it was just as good as the first time if not better. Great service and even better food! I will be going back sometime soon

Great grub, friendly, sociable staff. Go on a Thursday when Stu Clarke is playing guitar....he is a superb pro musician who lives locally and practices his arrangements of popular songs (when he's not touring). The place gets busy and does takeaway so don't expect fast food!

We opted for the Sunday to Thursday special at £12.95 for 3 courses.Excellent value,great food,really good service and the atmosphere was also very nice.would go again.

Excellent value for money. Good quality as well. We didn't have to wait long and were promptly put on a spacious table . We all thought it was great

The Food and service was excellent. I would say it's the best Chinese i have had in some time. It was well worth a visit.

The China Room is in a good location with plenty of parking spaces. We were served straight away even though the restaurant was very busy and the staff were pleasant and very helpful. The food is tasty and they serve generous portions at a reasonable cost. Overall I would recommend this restaurant.

Very good cuisine at a decent price. Friendly and helpful staff. 3 course special had lots of options. There were 9 of us dining and everybody enjoyed it. Plenty free parking space a bonus !

As always the food was excellent and the service was discrete but prompt, all in all one of the best resteraunts of all ethnic varieties I have visited

Superb food and overall experience. The chef was very helpful regarding our gluten free requirements and the food was delicious. The only slight downside was the waiting time between courses, but they were busy and apologised.

Great food, great service, excellent all round. Would recommend it to anyone, especially the specials menu.

Food was lovely but service was a bit slow as it was very busy. We was a table of ten and didnt get our meals together.

We were greeted warmly and offered a choice of the vacant tables. The service was spot on including being asked if we wanted a breather between courses. The food was excellent as always. A very enjoyable visit.

Excellent food and service I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Located in the centre of town very good parking access. Plenty room around tables therefore able to have conversation without disturbing the next table.
