We had a fantastic evening at The Coconut Island in Brighton. The restaurant has such a warm, welcoming atmosphere, with friendly staff who make you feel comfortable as soon as you arrive. The great music added to the experience. We chose the tasting menu for two, which included seven different dishes. There was plenty of food for both of us, and every single dish was delicious. It was a great way to try a variety of Sri Lankan flavours, and everything was beautifully prepared and full of flavour The cocktails were also excellent. Overall, it was a brilliant dining experience with great service, amazing food, and a lovely atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend it.

The waiting staff were lovely, but we found the music to be too loud. The food was delicious and very different, but it felt more like eating molten magma from the centre of the sun than food.

Excellent food and service. Menu is a bit confusing and the waiting staff did as well as they could to advise, but we probably didn't choose right to get the best experience of this cuisine. Nonetheless it was lovely. Very tasty. Making a reservation was easy and the time between ordering and the food arriving was really quick.

Top food - had the tasting menu between three of us, which was excellent. Service was great as well. Beers were quite expensive for just cans, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience. Highly recommend.

7 friends and I went to Coconut Island on 16th January, and we had such a great time. The food was incredible, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food options catered to everyone at the table, which is quite hard to do in Brighton. Would definitely go back and try the rest of the menu and drinks. 10 outta 10.

Our first time - absolutely loved it! Cant believe we hadn't been before but will be regulars from now on. It's way bigger than you realise from the front - extends down and back to a wonderful buzzy space. Food was superb - as a veggie loads of options but also plenty for the meat and fish eaters! Authentic and fun. Delicious food - really different. Will be back!

This was our first visit to Coconut Island and will not be our last !! Brilliant atmosphere. Brilliant service. Brilliant food. Great cocktails. No one in our party of 4 could find fault in the experience. (Being a ceoliac myself, Gluten free. I was able to RELAX and ENJOY my meal knowing that just about every item on the menu was GF. That's a very rare feeling !!) From the booking to settling the bill it was faultless. Thank you Coconut Island.
