The Coriander is, without doubt, somewhat of an institution when it comes to Indian dining in London. This stylish and contemporary group of restaurants began their adventure in the capital way back in 2000, then this, The Coriander Barbican branch on Aldersgate Street, is one of the more recent additions to the family. The menu offers a splendid blend of Northern Indian and Bangladeshi flavours, meaning there’s plenty of curry house classics as well as dishes The Coriander can surprise you with. Everything is fresh and always up to scratch – London restaurants don’t get this kind of glowing reputation otherwise. Don’t miss out and reserve your table now.
Food was excellent. Good choice of starters and mains. Can’t remember the name of the chicken starter at the top of the list but it was very good as was the lamb risotto. Bill was £120 for four inc two bottles of wine and a large Cobra.
My daughter and two teenage grandchildren enjoyed an excellent meal in pleasant surroundings, with friendly and efficient service. It was definitely the best curry we had had in a long time.
