Visited for birthday treat lovely food lovely atmosphere would highly recommend and would visit again

We took friends for afternoon tea, and it was their first visit to the Corner cupboard. We all enjoyed our afternoon, excellent food, friendly and efficient staff and interesting surroundings.

Food was lovely but I have been fro afternoon tea before and I thought the portions were smaller. We went with a Groupon voucher and the offer was advertised as sweet or savoury, this option wasn't offered. Staff very friendly.

Great find. We had the sharing platter which was lovely. Highly recommended. There is also a liitle gift chop where you can browse around and the staff were very warm and accommodating.

A lovely venue and good food but it was quite chilly. I know we are in June but when it's 16 degrees outside we need to be warm. Several other customers had kept their jackets on.

I had been wanting to try the Corner Cupboard, for a while as I don't live too far away, but some reviews had put me off. So when groupon offered an afternoon tea, I took the plunge. I'm so glad that I did, it is a cosy, quaint little place, with a relaxed atmosphere, the afternoon tea was lovely, and I took the opportunity to glance at the full menu whilst there. It was varied and reasonably priced, so I will be going again, this may be my new place to take friends when they visit from now on. 😀 If I had to say anything negative, I think the carpet is ready for a deep clean or replacement, and there was quite a strong smell of fish when you first walk in, but that maybe something that cannot be helped.. and definitely will not put me off re attending.

Shabby chic type cafe - very pretty and food great. Lovely fresh ingredients. Staff very attentive but not over bearing. Sadly no soya milk available.

Excellent food and service One negative was incorrect description of ingredients in one item on the menu which spoilt the enjoyment of my seafood pancake

A family get together, Service 100% , The food was 1st class and a good experience, A joy to be there, sorry for the couple who changed there table we might of been loud.

Excellent service from start to finish and lovely quality food in a very beautiful atmosphere. Shame some dishes were a little pricey for my liking.

Arrived early for breakfast. Lovely food with a good choice, friendly staff and the restaurant is charming and to top it all there is a very pretty ladies loo!

Just had Sunday lunch here today. 1st class food in lovely surroundings. Huge portions with a nice selection of perfectly cooked vegetables. Sadly we didn't have room to sample the dessert menu. Will be back.

Have wanted to visit this hidden little gem for a long time and today I got my wish wow wonderful atmosphere amazing food great staff couldn't find fault with anything will definatily be back

My friend and myself enjoyed a delicious steak meal with side and wine, followed by even yummier desserts . The desserts were not included in the Groupon offer we used, but a glass of wine was.

Birthday breakfast with family. This was one of the best breakfasts we've all had. Amazing eggs florentine, full English and breakfast muffin. Beautifully presented and high quality food and plenty of it. Would definitely go back to eat breakfast and will try lunch etc too! Highly recommend.

The food was very good and staff very helpful. I think a finger bowl should have come with my prawns they where a little messy.

A fabulous steak lunch for two with wine. The steak was cooked to.perfection and the chocolate pudding was to die for. Lovely atmosphere, great food and friendly service. Would recommend to anyone . Will be back soon.

My husband and I visited the Corner Cupboard for afternoon tea. The food and drink were great, and the service was attentive. Certainly will be going back again.

A very pleasant experience, good home cooking, friendly staff and relaxed ambiance. Only criticism would be about using a flat slate plate to serve a desert with custard.

I have been going to the Corner Cupboard for many years and have never had a bad meal. The staff are very efficient and friendly and the food is always excellent. It also has a beautiful shop that I can never resist and always end up buying something.

We enjoyed an excellent Sunday lunch at reasonable prices. The service was good and very friendly, in very pleasant surroundings. We will definitely be returning!

Steak Meal with Wine for 2 via Groupon offer is excellent value. Food very well presented and excellent service. This is the best steak meal in the area.

Plenty of choice on the menu and freshly cooked food. Very good service. Plenty of items to look at on the way out of the building. A very interesting visit

We have been to the Corner Cupboard on many occasions, the food is superb and the service is excellent and very friendly, it is always very busy.

Lovely place to have lunch, I booked a table and was please as it was quite busy, we spent an hour and a half chatting and didn't feel we had to vacate the table it was lovely.

Great service with friendly staff. Food fresh, presented nicely and not long to wait for its arrival. We weren't rushed to finish in a very relaxing and nice atmosphere.

Lovely place. The staff are fantastic and the food is great. You can shop for lovely things too! Been many times now and will be back.

Reserved table taken by someone else. asked to wait until vacated and reset, not immediately offered another table although tables available. Food overpriced and meagre. No wish for points, will not be returning.

Excellent service, wide choice of menu, cordial atmosphere. No further comments to fill the criteria for posting a review but will try harder next time!

Everything fantastic. Food best ive ever had better than michelin star restaurant. Beautiful decor and music. Staff lovely. I will be back cant wait. I bet its beautiful in the summer as well.

The Corner Cupboard isn't only a restaurant. It has interesting things for sale. Lovely Christmas decorations at this time of the year. Met my sister there for lunch which we both thoroughly enjoyed.

The food was delicious as always and was served in comfortable surroundings. We were not rushed so could enjoy a pleasant lunch with good friends.

Been here many times before and have to say the place is looking neglected. Food good but service really slow. Doubt I shall be returning

Very disappointing, the venue was cold and smelt of stale food, the food was cold and pastry under cooked, I think they had tried to defrost the pie and cook it unsuccessfully and the sauce inside had separated, the salad was lovely. Over all a very poor experience which I would want to experience again.

Excellent food with very cheerful and helpful staff. The service was good and the place is delightful. Would recommend from a cup of tea and cake to a three course meal.
