Although the food and wine which we had was very nice it was slightly disappointing that the full menu was not available on the day we were there.

Welcoming, accommodating and our needs and wants met with tact, kindness and warmth. Waiting team hosted us perfectly despite 7 covers and 7 different beverages and 6 different breakfasts ordered. Food gorgeous.

Another great experience at The Corner House. Good food and, just as important, coffee! Only minor niggle was lack of butter for our toast with the breakfast.

A quirky, comfortable and very welcoming restaurant to meet for breakfast. Fantastic locally sourced food, served quickly. One full english, one half english breakfast (both good sized portions) a bacon sandwich and granola served with yoghurt and compote, mmmmmmmmm. The Corner House always provides a peaceful oasis in a busy city, a perfect start to a busy day, thank you.

Great food and amazing service! Will definitely go back! We were lucky enough to have live jazz music too which added to the lovely atmosphere.

Great food, pleasant warm and friendly atmosphere, excellent serving staff. Slightly eccentric decor, low light levels, and muted warm tones. Friday night jazz is a lovely addition to a good meal, and the music never drowns out the conversation.

Very nice meal, well looked after and good drinks choices! Menu a little too restricted this time though, but sometimes that’s the quaintness of the place!

We visited The Corner House and very much enjoyed the half breakfast of local produce which was ample for our appetites. A cozy corner location for a 'treat' breakfast in lovely Winchester.

Delicious meal, excellent attention and friendliness from the staff, wonderful jazz in the background too. Cherry Bakewell was amazing, nice side of vanilla ice cream!

Attractive interior and friendly staff. Food was ok but serving it on old bread boards doesn't appeal to me. A lot of tables for the space and the noise level was correspondingly high. However it's a cheery spot and I would go again.

Food was fantastic, atmosphere was great... service, while friendly, was a little chaotic. Only half our drinks order arrived and the same happened with our food order. The server kept getting distracted!!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice restaurant. Lunchtime menu a little restricted but I am a fussy eater! Very understanding when the friend I was meeting was held up in a serious traffic jam.

There was an early a 45 minute wait between breakfast finishing and lunch orders taken. Whilst the staff explained and were attentive, if I had known this I would have booked later. However when the food did arrrive it was worth the wait!

Our party of 8 had lunch at Corner House. The area we were in was rather dark as ceiling lights weren't switched on. We felt menu was more fancy and limited for choice than when we has eaten here before. In fact half our number chose of the all day breakfast menu in order to find something they liked. The waitress was very helpful and friendly. However food we did chose was cooked and presented well especially the eggs!

Music was a little too loud to enjoy a conversation, the waiter couldn't hear what was being asked for and needing to keep repeating yourself over and over starts to rub for the entire evening.

The food was quite good but the service was distinctly indifferent. There were enough staff bit they didn't seem very interested in serving their customers. We were disappointed.

The staff were very attentive and helpful. Although I had booked a table, the restaurant was very quiet and we had a choice of seating. There was not a huge choice for vegetarians but my friend and I both enjoyed our all-day vegetarian breakfast. My only criticism was that the cutlery (although it looked clean) had an unpleasant smell about it suggesting the dishwasher could do with a clean. However nice the food is, smelly cutlery does ruin it and it made me wonder about the overall hygiene in the kitchen.

Went for lunch on Saturday. A quirky ex pub but with a friendly atmosphere. A menu that might not satisfy the meat eater although the burger looked good. The food we had was good and plentiful enough for a light lunch but the highlight really was the cake table for dessert. also have some good local bottled beer and ciders. Price wise with 15% tip was £85 for 4 2 course lunch.

Lovely little restaurant, where usually the food is good. Sadly, our experience thus time was not so good. We had the Sunday roast, the meat was very dry and the roast potatoes not all all crispy. I would go to the Corner House again, but I definitely would never have another Sunday roast there. As ever, the waiting staff were charming.

Very friendly restaurant, including for children. Food was simple but good: both burgers - meat and veg - and fish pie tasty and filling. Good informal atmosphere.

Menu selection is not what it used to be. Could do with some more fans to cool the place down when the temperature outside is high.

It was very busy - Thursday night is music night and there was a group of 3 female singers. they were having fun on stage and contributed to a lovely atmosphere. Food was excellent, though my portion of gnocchi was a little small. Great choice of local beers.

the restaurant was a friendly and cosy place with excellent food, and a surprise jazz evening. we enjoyed it very much. It is a short walk from a car park, so even if you don't live in the city it's worth taking a trip.

Quirky restaurant, excellent food, was disappointed with the wine list which is on a board. Lots of choice by glass and bottle, however the glass sizes weren't given and when we got our bill was a surprise to see that my glass of Sauvignon Blanc was £9 and it was on the board as £6.75. Shame but otherwise was a lovely meal.

Lovely food, and great service too. The kids really enjoyed it as well! We'd recommend this to anyone visiting the city; very central, and interesting specials. There is no kids menu, so only for older children though they were happy to do a smaller roast if we needed it.

The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was tasty, although unfortunately my meal of 'Eggs Royale' was virtually cold by the time it reached our table.
