Lovely place, good food and attentive staff; worth the money. Seems to be full of screaming, crying under twos with indifferent parents on a Saturday morning. Perhaps complementary parenting classes would be in order?

Delicious food and wonderful service exactly what you expect from the corner house. The atmosphere was lovely and calm and the portions were very generous!

We went to The Corner House as a group of 6 which included 2 kids. The food was great, staff were friendly however they had no high chairs. I was quite surprised at this and honestly can't remember the last time I went somewhere that doesn't have at least 1.

Great evening: the food was excellent (though desserts are very expensive), the staff were very friendly and helpful, the vibe on a jazz night was fabulous (clarinet & guitar duo).

Excellent brunch and great service. Would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Winchester. The coffee is really good too, busy so would book it to avoid disappointment

Fabulous food and vibe on a very busy Thursday Jazz Evening. Live music, good service, I would thoroughly recommend. Look forward to returning on a Thursday or Friday evening soon.

Lovely food, great atmosphere. Service could have been a little more attentive, but the staff were unfailingly nice. Well worth a visit as it's close to Winchester centre.

Great restaurant ,very welcoming and efficient service ,very good food but limited choice.Good selection of wines reasonably priced. We will go again but limited menu means not often. Thanks for a good evening.

The food was excellent when it came. However the wrong soup was served without telling us that the soup we had ordered had been replaced and two of the party did not like that soup We should hAve been asked if it was ok to serve a different type not just brought it in without asking us first also the accompaning bread was not what was on menu

Jazz evening was really good and place was buzzing. Dinner menu and food was home rather than restaurant quality - predictable and quite basic. Service excellent as always.

Not particularly cheap but excellent breakfast. Interesting and somewhat different selection of dishes. Very good friendly service and a very pleasant environment. Have only ever had breakfast here and would certainly recommend.

Great venue with very cosy/offbeat decor. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Food was excellent, starter and mains would not have been out of place in a Michelin starred restaurant!

The atmosphere was good, the waiting staff friendly, the food and beer were good. The only hiccough was an incorrect bill that was quickly sorted

The Cornerhouse has obviously changed hands as it is simply not as good as it was in previous years. The menu is much smaller with restricted choices. Although the waiting staff were great, we waited 40 minutes between starter and main and when the main came the chef hadn't followed what we asked for, for a dietary requirement making one plate inedible for our guest. However as we waited for so long we declined a new dish. Rather than knocking the dish off the bill two soda waters were given for free!!! Really disappointing from the fabulous restaurant it used to be shall not be returning.

Excellent & unusual veggie breakfast from varied menu. Service very good as always despite being busy, I recommend reserving a table. Only downside was that the Breakfast teabags were rather weak and tasteless.

A friend and I visit 'The Corner House' approximately every 5-6 weeks. We like the cafe because it's relatively quiet (i.e. no loud music) and the staff are friendly. The menu is varied, the food tasty and the prices are sensible and fair. However on our visit last week, our food, although delicious, was tepid and the staff didn't seem quite so attentive as before, which was surprising as the cafe wasn't over busy, and we kept having to go up to the counter to get anything extra. Hence me rating a score of only 4 on this occasion. Hopefully the service will be a bit better next visit.

The ambience in the Corner House is warm, comfortable and cosily quirky. The food is quite nice and the staff are all very helpful and friendly. We had not realised there was a jazz band performing and whilst the band was great, we couldn't have our planned catch up and conversation whilst they played. Check when the band is playing and select your evening accordingly. A great place.

Lovely welcoming staff, great food and ambience. One of my favourite places. Coffee is always really good and nice to see a new selection of cocktails and change in some of the menu whilst keeping firm favourites.
