I was fairly disappointed with our experience at the Counting House. Firstly, the soft drinks were not of a good standard. They either tasted watered down or they’re supplier isn’t very good. We sent the first drink back and explained we thought the pump may need changing but when the second was also of the same taste we assumed it must by the ‘norm’. The starter was lovely but the main was of a very low average standard. The table next to us was being occupied by customers who were not dining and only drinking. One of them was incredibly loud and fowl mouthed. Me and partner were unable to hear each other speak. Other non dining customers who knew the occupants of the table next to us continued to stagger over from the bar area and join their low mannered conversation. They had clearly consumed a lot of alcohol. Fortunately, a waitress did explain that the dining area was reserved for customers who were eating and asked them to move over to the bar area, which they did. This did enable us to continue our meal in peace. It just was an overall not a great experience in terms of food, drink and customers.

Around the world afternoon tea was lovely. Very friendly staff, will be returning to try the different menu very soon. The cocktail menu is not to expensive

Always enjoy breakfast at The Counting House, tend to order the same; omlette with spinach, mushroom and cheese. Bottomless coffee and tea which is well received.

I have eaten and drank here several times and always have a good time. Staff are friendly, food and drinks are excellent. Would highly recommend a visit.

The food was just ok but the music was terrible . The Counting house seriously need to review the DJ’s they employ. The DJ on NYE was pretty awful, music dreadful, completely wrong for the occasion . Completely lacked the skills needed. Come on Counting House up your game there are genuine DJ’s out there who have the skills and knowledge to give your valued customers a good night out. Anyone can stand there and press keys on a lap top! Extremely disappointed

My wife and I enjoyed the evening very much. The food was amazing. All staff attentive could not have asked for a better new year.

What a great nite....the place is just right....but it was the cocktails that did it.....go you wouldn't be disappointed...the food is very good...the table service is just what I like...

Food was amazing and cocktails were lovely. Only negative was having to wait at the bar to be seated. Overall lovely experience. I definitely will recommend

Great food and friendly service, I recommend the seafood plate. We will definitely be eating there again They will allow dogs also if you eat in the bar area

It was a Christmas present for my sister and brother in law they moved to France and my sister has stayed in the UK to help me look after my mum who has cancer so I decided a date night for them both. They had a lovely time and the food was great and reasonably priced too they will both be there again as will I thankyou for making it a great experience for them both

Absolutely love this place, atmosphere, food and drink all such good quality.

Friendly staff and nice menu with lots of different options. I went in the evening and definitely recommend the chicken parmigiana, they had a good selection of cocktails too with some festive specials!

Gorgeous food, lovely staff, beautiful place. Couldn’t ask for more. Will definitely be returning as soon as possible. The cocktails are fab too although a little pricey.

Lovely food but drink service took at least 25 minutes when we first arrive which was disappointing considering it wasn't very busy. Would definitely recommend for the food though

Food was lovely, lots of choice. One of our party was late so staff were great bringing drinks until they arrived. Friendly service with lots of smiles! Cocktails great too! We were the only people in the restaurant at the time so it was very quiet!

We booked a table here for Saturday lunch. The waitress advised us that we would be waiting about half an hour for food as they had an afternoon tea party in. We had been before and enjoyed the padana and garlic chicken pizzas so we were willing to wait. My brother had the trio of sausages which he thoroughly enjoyed and my Mum had a jacket potato which looked slightly over cooked but she enjoyed it. Our pizzas however weren't as good as the last time we came and the sweet potato fries were cold

Cosy and friendly restaurant with very good service! We ordered the specials with a bottle of Spanish red wine and thoroughly enjoyed our meal! Would visit again

Very good food and service, only negative is that the dining room is very noisy as it is next to the bar, other than that very good

First time visiting the counting house , and it will not be the last our meal was lovely although we would of liked a bit more time between courses .

A fabulous night and the food was extra tasty and very well presented. The staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The salsa night was great entertainment.

A lovely relaxing atmosphere for lunch will great food and service. Wide choice of lunchtime food and drinks. A very enjoyable lunchtime catch up with a friend.

We visited for a Sunday roast & in my opinion it is one of the tastiest in Cleethorpes. The staff couldn't have been anymore helpful. Already booked for a meal in December. Very impressed.

Great atmosphere, quick service and two delicious plates of food. Friendly door staff, were seated straight away even though we were early. Enjoyable evening with family.

Lovely afternoon tea and service on a busy Sunday afternoon

We went for food and cocktails and the food was delicious it came fairly quick. The cocktails are so nice the only down side is they are gone too fast. The staff was really friendly and made you feel welcome. I will definitely be returning.

on a Saturday night, we enjoyed great food, great service and a lively atmosphere. The price was reasonable too. The menu was varied with a good vegetarian range.

Food was lovely as always, look forward to trying the other new items on the menu. Great service and friendly staff. Look forward to eating here again!

Fantastic service with amazing food, been back already for their Cocktails. Feels like a City venue but without the prices, they also do Breakfast so going to give that a try.

Becoming a regular weekend brunch visit for my friends and I. I'm starting to work my way through the menu. Sadly no cream for the coffee this week, hence only 5 stars and not 6 - sorry to be picky!
