Busy quiz night so service was not as swift as normal. That said the food quality was up to its usual excellent standard.

Enjoyable. Best pub food in Leicester. Very good value. Well worth a visit

Excellent service as usual. The food was delivered promptly and we both had empty plates at the end! The specials menu was varied and the dessert ordered by my friend comes highly recommended (treacle sponge pudding). A very enjoyable evening.

Service a little slow but it was a very busy Sunday lunchtime. Food good (roast beef) and quantities just right. Staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely go again and recommend to others.

Lovely Sunday roast, great food and bar, friendly team would definitely recommend - now I have to add more words to make it up to 25 for some reason but the lunch really was excellent!

Lovely meal ,service was charming,did not have the wine I ordered and missed a round of drinks, but overall a very nice meal.Roast beef was particularly good if you like it rare ( which I do yum yum )

Very welcoming staff, lovely atmosphere, and the food was superb. The restaurant itself is tidy, clean and well presented - we would definitely recommend the rib-eye steak!

It's a nice pub, food is very good and good selection of drinks. Relaxed atmosphere and service attentive if a little slow - they were accommodating with babies

Good solid food, polite service but not wildly exciting. Much less noisy (weekday lunchtime) than average pub Physical surroundings good. Not clear until we asked what was available on the menu.

As always, great food, well cooked with quality service. Always a great atmosphere with well keep beers etc This pub never fails to perform well!

Nice eating area. Lovely atmosphere. Delicious chicken and leek pie,( proper pie ,not meat with a separately cooked pastry top plonked on top) served with separate veggies crunchy chips and gravy. Delicious raspberry bread and butter pudding with ice cream for dessert. Quick and efficient service Reasonably priced and very good quality.

Found the cubicals a little tight but once in they were quite comfortable . The two veggie burgers that two of our party had were trotted to be bland which was a shame as the rest of the meals were very nice. The staff were friendly and the service good.

Never fails or disappoints. A regular place for me and friends to eat. Food always piping hot and presented with imagination. Would appreciate more exciting puddings but often too full to even consider!!

Great food and selection. They were able to accommodate vegetarian, gluten free and elderly parents who don't eat very much, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Thanks.

Food was good the Yorkshire pud was a bit doughy, and the potions are a bit small. The staff were freindly, kind and quick and helpful.

A relaxed dining experience. Standard pub menu with specials. Food came promptly and was well presented. Interestingly I had lovely chunky chips with my gammon but my son had some anaemia looking fries with his burger - he wasn't happy!

Very popular and justifiably so. Despite a party of 24 we did not have to wait too long to get our delicious Sunday roast meals. Generous portions and excellent value.

We were a party of 10 to celebrate my husbands birthday all ordering a mixture of foods from the menu the staff were great very patient with the younger ones . We had ordered from steak to burgers the food was excellent a lovely night all round .

We were seated and then served quickly . Good hot food and portions .Staff helpful and polite . Over all very good meal and service .

We normally go on weekdays & I would give them 6 for the quality of those meals, however the Sunday dinners are not quite as good. Still good though.

Spent a lovely evening with friends . The meal was perfect and well presented . Wine was lovely. Service was good and we were not rushed . Staff were lovely as usual.

Food was excellent but they had a problem with an adult wanting something from the children's menu. Food was good quality although portions not large.

Not a comment on the food, but my friend and i were sandwiched at a small table for two between two much larger tables with very little space between. It just felt cramped and uncomfortable which impacted on our enjoyment of our meal. A shame, because all else - food and service - were great.

We all had the fish and chips which were excellent. Crispy batter and good quality fish. Service was excellent too. Attentive but not intrusive. Will definitely visit again.

As ever, great, tasty food and friendly, speedy service. The wine list is good value and covers a wide range. And the beer's great too!

The staff are always welcoming, the food is fabulous, If you want something not on the menu just ask and see if they can do it for you.

Unfortunately we thought the service was below par. We sat down 15 mins late(our fault) , but waited 20 mins before we saw a menu. Another 25 mins to the starters then a massive 30 mins for our mains. Had to request coffee twice. Food good as always but let down by below average service.

Good food as always, nice staff and pints. I would say that it's a bit annoying that you cannot get waitress service in the garden but it's a minor drawback

Good service, cheery atmosphere, a nice Sunday roast for the family with our young children. Husband especially liked the sticky toffee pudding with custard and I enjoyed the Eton mess.
