Excellent service. Great food and a lovely free lunch of main, drink and dessert for our toddler! I always opt for the burger and truffle chips.

I came for a birthday celebration meal with my family who had driven from out of town. The food was good, but the service was incredibly poor, bordering rude. We had to call the server over every time, gave up on dessert menus and had to go to the bar to request the bill. There is a great deal more choice in the area, and for the slightly higher prices comparative to restaurants nearby I’d have expected much better.

Service was a bit slow at times, but atmosphere was lovely and relaxed and food was really really good. Would definitely return and recommend it.

Over priced. Food ok but not exciting, struggle to choose the main courses. The restaurant had no atmosphere. Sorry £145 Would had been much more enjoyed at aby top restaurant in town . Service adequate but again it was impersonal and lacked charm

I absolutely love the atmosphere and the staff. The food is delicious, I have business meetings here and brunch. It’s the perfect setting for both.

Really nice food and lovely, friendly waitress. Rather good value too. Wine was nice to boot. Perfect pre-cinema dinner. Highly recommended. You should go. Toodles.

Food was great as always, but service was poor. We sat for about 30min after our main meal and then had to ask for a dessert menu. Staff were chatting to each other instead of focusing on the customer. Slightly disappointing given it's NYC and you'd expect top notch service for the prices.

Nice staff. Food well prepared. Tried the brunch menu which was tasty although rather mean bit of sourdough toast. Just quite noisy environment though which spoilt the atmosphere.

Lovely brunch with great service. A note to the manager though - I think it’s important to have at least one sweet option on a brunch menu. Pancakes, French toast, granola, etc.

Team night out straight from work and we're frequent visitors to this restaurant. Looked after by Jo, who considering we were straight on the cocktails, was very playful with us and took it in her stride. It was a horrid chilly night and when the door opened the cold came in quickly, so at one point we were all coats and scarfs, but the manager was straight on the case when noted. Food as ever was very very good (although still missing the mushy peas option with the fish and chips). We did have a vegan in the gang and there is very little option in terms of veggie/vegan and this would be a suggestion to have a cheese free pesto on hand to make gnocchi or pasta. Crystal Palace is exceptionally millenial and full of foody fad types (including us), so they perhaps just need to have a proper non 'mushroom' option. Drinks were fun and fab and we will of course return.

Pretty disappointed with Brunch today. Despite having booked a table in advance, most of the brunch options were no longer available me when we arrived; we ordered two full englishes only to then find out that they no longer had those available either. Then had to wait until 12.40 to be able to order lunch, meaning our party had to eat separately. No discount offered for the inconvenience; very disappoint considering we had booked for brunch 4 weeks in advance.

I’ve been here many times before and I’ve always been happy with food and service. Today the service was very slow. I had to ask for a menu after sitting for quite some time. I was utterly shocked when my chicken main arrived. £14 for small chicken breasts and a small bowl of leaves. Waited so long for our dessert we’d finished our coffee. It came after the bill. Probably won’t go back again.

Fairly slow November Friday evening, couldn't have had happier or more helpful staff. Ordered a mixed board to share (note to chef - cheese would be a fab addition), fish and chips (no mushy peas, which would have been our preference) and way too much to drink. Fifth visit and a change to the usual steak or burger and would easily give this a full rating if there was a little more menu variety. Time for a tweak :)

We arrived at 12.45. Received starters at 13.30. We were still waiting for main course at 14.20 so decided to leave. Bad service. We asked for bread as we were hungry waiting for our food and were told it would cause a further delay. Would not go again. The manager tried to convince us to stay and offered a discount. Unfortunately it was too little too late. The experience ruined our Sunday afternoon.

My wife and I arrived at the restaurant at 8.30 pm on a cold Saturday evening. We were placed next to the toilets in a draughty area of the restaurant. We asked the maitre 'd if the air conditioning was on as it was so cold . He barely acknowledged me and walked away. Other people in the restaurant were saying how cold it was, people were sitting with their coats on. We had drinks and our starters. We asked the waitress who very accomadating if the heating was on. She said she had asked a number of times and been told that it was. It was obviously not going to get any warmer and the whole experience was uncomfortable so we paid and left before our mains. We went around the corner to the Portuguese restaurant called A Torre which was very nice.

No bacon or sausages at 11am on a Saturday. Told we could not have chorizo with fry up instead (one adult cannot eat eggs which form 80% approx of the menu) and one child’s breakfast was just beans mushrooms egg and toast with no meat. Waitress very pleasant and great at her job but not a great 1st time experience

A very nice evening with good quality wine and excellent food. The first table we were given was too close to the adjacent one and right by the door which meant a cold draft every time someone came in or out. We asked to be moved and this happened immediately without any fuss. I would happily recommend this place, it is a great local restaurant.

We had to wait about 15 minutes to make an order because orders are not accepted between "breakfast" and "lunch" time (why allow book table at that time then?) Chili paste was sweet instead of hot and lacked any amounts of salt. Staff though is very nice and friendly!
