As Manchester’s most up and coming area, Ancoats has seen a surge in the number of hip eateries opening recently, and The Cutting Room is one of the most exciting. Located on Blossom Street on Cutting Room Square, this trendy cafe and fully licensed bar dishes up a range of delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner options alongside craft beers and hand-selected coffee blends. Making a reservation in advance is recommended!
Great food, great atmosphere, reasonable prices, great staff & cool retro items displayed about the place. Was for a business lunch & was suitably quiet so my colleague and I could discuss things we needed to. Couldn't fault it!
Friendly service and atmosphere, great food - an absolute bargain! Will be visiting again for a casual lunch/dinner in the future and will be recommending others to do the same!
Had a great time, lovely food, nice beers and great service. Would recommend and would certainly go again. It's only a small place, but all was good.
An ode to Ancoats past, The Cutting Room on Blossom Street is stylishly decorated in an industrial fashion, with vintage cameras adorning the walls and stacks of old fashioned suitcases serving as a table. It’s this quirky decor that gives The Cutting Room its appeal, while also offering cuisine that’s guaranteed to keep the crowds coming back to this cosy little Manchester joint again and again. Whether it’s morning or night you’ll find a range of delicious options to suit your tastes, from a full English breakfast to an array of sandwiches and main courses. We recommend the chicken pot pie (grilled chicken in a rosemary and garlic white wine sauce topped with puff pastry and served with mashed potatoes), or the Italian sandwich (an open ciabatta filled with meatballs and topped with mozzarella, chilli, parmesan and rocket) when dining at this happening eatery. The Cutting Room is quickly establishing itself as one of Manchester’s trendiest cafes in Ancoats, so book a table beforehand to guarantee a seat!
