Table for 6 booked on-line, very simple. Good selection of beers & wine. Menu isn't massive but great variety and excellent quality. Not had a bad experience in any of this chains pubs inLincoln.

Service was good with an attentive waiter, even though he got my order wrong. Starter fantastic but I was a little disappointed with the Sunday lunch on terms of taste and quality.

We have eaten at the Duke William several times and are always impressed with the imaginative menu. The beetroot and goats cheese risotto and black pudding scotch egg were delicious. There is a good atmosphere and the staff are always very friendly and helpful. We'll be back.

Nice food but quite pricey for a full English breakfast at £9.95 plus extra for drinks. If there's two or more of you there are cheaper places to go for breakfast at the same quality.

Went with a party of 4 and all of our food was delicious. It was a busy saturday night but the service was really good - staff had good knowledge about the menu as well.

The interior seating area is very tasteful and cosy with ample character. Welcome and service is excellent. However, this is the second time we have eaten here and both times disappointed with the food. Our roast was tepid and the fish and chips overcooked, we will not return sadly.

initial confusion between staff which menu was on, the Sunday or the evening. Order taken for Sunday menu and then told it's not on. Not a good start. The well done steak was dry and tasteless the shredded duck with hoisin was just average quality and no sign of the advertised beansprouts. On the plus side the steak and stilton was good as was the trio of Lincolnshire sausage on mash. Staff were polite and welcoming but a place like this has it's heart in the kitchen. Room for improvement. We do not eat out often as we both enjoy cooking and cook to a good standard, when we do go out we want better than average food from people that do food for a living.

Duke William Hotel is ideally located close to Lincoln Cathedral and Castle. The staff were friendly and helpful when we booked in and ate in the restaurant. Our room and bathroom were immaculate and comfortable. It was also quiet as the outside seating area closed at 11pm. It was the perfect place to stay for a visit to Lincoln.

We really enjoyed our meal at the Duke William, the pub itself is lovely. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and so the service was excellent. Food is lovely and reasonably priced and there's a good good range of wine and beer. The only slight niggle would be that there is only one vegetarian main meal on the menu, so no choice for us, which was a little disappointing, especially as the daytime time menu had a couple of different choices. Overall we had a great time and would definitely recommend the Duke William.

Very small menu but steak was absolutely beautiful. We were sat by the kitchen, however, & after we'd got our food we saw lots of items come out that weren't on the menu. I think there must have been a specials menu that we weren't offered so found this disappointing.

This is not the cheapest of places but the quality of the food was excellent and the service was good. It pleased my mother, who I had taken as a Mother's Day treat, and that is not an easy thing to do.

Wonderful food in a warm and convivial atmosphere with friendly and enthusiastic service. Prices a little on the high side hence the 5 rather than a 6. However, worth the money for a treat.

Great food, friendly staff, lovely restaurant. Three of the four of us plumped for black pudding scotch egg to start and the other had blue cheese soufflé (which came with mushrooms and looked delicious!). For mains we opted for steaks and one of us had lamb. Really good steak with homemade chips and homemade onion rings! Forced in a pudding...had to be done. Raspberry creme brûlée, sticky toffee pudding, coconut pannacotta and treacle tart! Delicious! And full to the brim (not helped by the addition of a rather tasty pale ale). Definitely recommend you give The Duke a try!

The Duke William is a nice pub with a restaurant. We had lunch there which unfortunately took an age to arrive with the pub not too busy, however it tasted lovely. We also had dinner there. The menu was restricted and a baked potato instead of chips was not possible. Meals were incorrect when they arrived. The steaks were very enjoyable and the ambiance was nice.

Friendly, positive service. Much larger out the back than it appears from the front bar, so plenty of space (tables not crammed together). A regular for a weekend pub lunch!
