Food and ambiance excellent thanks for a very pleasant evening we will definitely be visiting again and recommend the the restaurant to family and friends .

Very clean, roomy, airy interior. Good selections on menu. Food served very quickly by 2 pleasant, efficient girls/young ladies, and was plentiful and great quality. The prices weren't expensive and the meal was certainly worth it. I chose this Inn having been previously - albeit 10 - 15 years ago. It is rural and has easy parking and great views over the Cotswolds. Very satisfied, would recommend and would cetainly go back.

The staff were very attentive and although we stayed a little longer than there closing time we didn’t feel pushed to leave. The food was beautiful and high quality. A stunning spot with a beautiful view. I will definitely be returning.

Great meal, freshly prepared. Wonderful views, Restaurant clean and welcoming staff. We have never had a bad meal here and would recommend it to anyone.

Table with view ready as requested. Good choice of menu, friendly service and a most enjoyable meal. Substantial portions so we did not get to try dessert. Would happily go again.

Smashing spot with great views over a Gloucestershire valley. Service was exemplary. Food could not have been better. There was a wide range of fare on offer and both my wife and me left fully sated. We will certainly return in the future.

Food excellent but had to wait 30 minutes while other guests who came later were served before us. Luckily the food was excellent and the staff most apologetic

Great food and awesome views, will definitely return. Only slight issues were wasps bugging us and the staff lacked a little charisma - I always think if you’re in the service industry then you need to deliver high quality service. The service was perfectly fine, just a bit functional. Like I said, we will be returning.

The food was delicious as usual. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Service was quick, we didn’t have to wait long between courses. Overall exceptional experience and a lovely relaxing evening. Thank you.

Food presentation wasn’t brilliant, lack of imagination, little flavour. The only thing I feel this place has going for it is the location and views.

Had to wait one hour from placing order to receiving main course. At this point we were told they were short staffed. That point should have been made when order was placed not an hour later. Never in 70 years has it taken a restaurant anywhere in the world that I have been to so long to produce a meal.

Good service, excellent choice of food and drink. Busy this lunchtime but no delays and reservation made everything easier. Could have been given a little more time before plats cleared and desserts offered, but maybe this was a result of the numbers dining.

A fabulous night was had by all. The food was lovely and served to a party of 11 with everyone’s food looking and tasting great. The service was good and the staff there were helpful and polite. Will definitely go again.

We met as a family for fathers day. It suited the different age groups and the dietary requirement of both my grand children which was great. Food was of a good standard and reasonable price. Meal for six £110.

Great food, love their desserts! Good service and beautiful hill views. Definitely recommend and visit again. Bonus as it’s local to me. Overall very good.

Good varied menu with the addition of both special main and dessert courses. Always well prepared food and great staff. Eat in the bar or in the restaurant, or on good weather days, outside on the terraces. Enjoy the views across the the valley to Painswick and beyond from the terraces or window seats in the bar or restaurant. Highly recommended.

Arrived early, shown to a lovely settee and chairs for a pre lunch glass of wine. The menu was supplied along with a mega specials board. Lots of choice , pre starter nibbles include garlic bread and olives. Plenty of choice both meat , fish and vegetarian . Staff were very friendly and professional without being overly attentive by keep asking if everything is alright. Dessert list was vast and all three of ours tasted great. Good value and if haze had cleared truly fantastic views of the valley.

Our two course lunch last Sunday was excellent. The staff were friendly and the service quick. The views are glorious and even the weather was wonderful. How did they do that! No hesitation in recommending the Edgemoor Inn. DE, USL

Booked in for Sunday lunch. Good service, good food and great views! We will definitely return when we are booked in to Barncastle again. Worth mentioning that there is a good range of options for vegetarians.

Friendly service, gorgeous views and good food. Several vegetarian options to chose from but no veggie roast dinner, so we just had the Sunday roast without the meat which was delicious anyway.

Not many customers present at time of visit which made the atmosphere a bit lacking. The food was just OK, but overall we were underwhelmed with our dining experience. Some other customers complained about their food whilst we were there. The desserts were in our opinion expensive at £5.95 so we didn't order any and £8.50 for cheese and biscuits is way too much considering the venue is really nothing special. Bill for 4 with just 3 starters, mains and drinks was £85. Doubt we will return.

We went there in the evening, the food and service was really excellent . The views from this Inn must be really spectacular although it was dark when we arrived.

Staff friendly, helpful and very efficient. Didn't have to wait a long time for food even though it was busy. Food was absolutely lovely. We've never had a bad meal here!
