Great meal, welcoming and friendly staff, and a lovely old pub. A varied menu and it was nice to have plenty of gluten free options.

The food was delicious, couldnt fault it one bit. It was definately worth the wait. My mum was over the moon with her meal i treated her to yesterday. She said it was so nice to have such a favourable pie with so much meat in it. Would definately recommend going here for such lovely pub food. There was a few things i noticed in the toilets that need attention. The window edging was fallen off & just placed ontop of the toilet cistern, the finish to the wall panels could do with edging to cover the tatty edges etc. Before walking into the ladies all you could smell was the Little Boys Room which did put me off quite alot - thinking of cleanliness point of view. All the staff were very attentive & helpful.

Please staff, nice environment. Good choice of drinks and food (even on a Sunday, not just Sunday lunch....) Nice beer garden for the summer months.

The table was booked on line. One hour before we were due to eat the restaurant rang to say there is no vacancy for that time. Very disappointed

As usual the food was fabulous, we did have a bit of wait for it, but the restaurant was busy so we were not overly concerned with this. Staff were as always very helpful and friendly.

Had a lovely evening at The Farmers Boy. Atmosphere lovely and the place was really warm and cosy. Definitely required on a chilly Feb evening. Service fantastic and food even better. The pies really are world class.

Lovely atmosphere. We had a power cut for an hour of our meal. Whi.ch isn't anyone's fault. Nice staff. The pies are nice but a tad pricey I think.

We have often visited this pub. The welcome we got from Darren was as great as usual and there was no problem over the fact that we were a few minutes late for our table. However, we waited ages to be given our menus - only happened when Darren reminded the waitress and instead of handing us one each, she left them in a pile on the table. There was no courtesy check to see that our meals were ok ( they were delicious). When my husband ordered more drinks, mine came, but his did not. After waiting several more minutes, he managed to attract someone’s attention and they went to get his drink, only to come back and tell us they had run out of Chardonnay. All in all, welcome and food were great, service could do with some improvement.

All diets were well catered for (veggie, gluten free, children and carnivore). All meals were excellent, with good portion sizes, and fab service in a great atmosphere.
