Atmosphere was excellent. Food was very good and presented well, the plates and food was nicely hot keeping the food at its best. The staff were pleasant and efficient at all times.

A fantastic meal, good atmosphere & service, delicious food & generous portions, we'll definitely come back again soon! Glad that I no longer have to trek into the city centre for a quality meal!

Very good overall. Side dish of onions undercooked, practically raw when served to us. However, overall the rest of the meal was beautiful, just a shame about the side dish.

Four of us enjoyed a 3 course meal for my husband's birthday. Every dish was beautifully presented and was delicious. We were alerted as we arrived to the lack of waiting staff, and since the restaurant was busy, we realised that the the one chap running the front of house had a real challenge on his hands. However, he managed brilliantly, calmly, and definitely contributed to the good vibe. We took full advantage of the 50% off deal running throughout January, but we all agreed that we would return at regular price, too. Thank you 'The Flixton' for a thoroughly enjoyable celebratory night.

First time me and my husband have visited the flixton and it won't be the last, service was great and the flat iron steak was the best I've ever had. Looking forward to eating there again. Highly recommend

Excellent food, excellent service, and a very good January discount too! All in all a superb little restaurant. We particularly enjoyed the sweetmeat appetiser, the potted shrimp, and the exquisite deserts...

Visited with niece and nephew for a New Year catch up. New menu now in place which was very enjoyable. Only negative comments were that the apple and cobnut crumble dessert was a cold dish and we expected it to be warm and the coffee latte was lukewarm. The 50% off food offer on the al a carte menu is very enticing especially given the excellent quality and presentation of the food and I hope many more people make the most of this offer. A very enjoyable evening

The food was delicious and the portions were huge! We would definitely return when the Christmas menu is no longer being served as the choice will probably be wider.

Food and atmosphere was lovely, only drawback was having to ask for our change after paying for our bill, don't think she would have bought it to us if we hadn't asked. would have been a 6 otherwise

Food was fantastic, would definitely recommend a visit. I absolutely loved the chocolate tart and my wife was very happy with her pork belly and black pudding Bon bons. We will be going again.

An unexpected treat. Walking in the signage was a little dated, despite being new and the decor was ok. However the food was very good particularly the pork stroganoff. Pork is a hard one to get right and this was lovely. The soup was simple but delicious and nice in texture.

Service very good (although on a busy Sunday could perhaps have done with an additional waiter), food was lovely and dessert was a particular highlight. Would recommend and will return.

A local restaurant with city centre flair. I visited with my husband on a Saturday evening for a lovely meal and experience. I had mussels to start, fat and delicious, followed by the cannon of lamb. Husband had charcuterie board and posh burger. My main was modified by chef to make it gluten free. A really well thought through wine list complimented the meal. It is not cheap and cheerful, rather chic but good value. Staff lovely, go and see (but book first).

Our party of five received excellent service and attention last night. The menu had a good choice and the food we selected was excellent (especially the rhubarb and stem ginger brulee). I would certainly recommend this restaurant.

The food was fantastic and service was good. We had Sunday lunch and 2 very demanding octagenarians said it was the best they had had in ages! Some people in our party felt it was too cold and personally I feel the decor isn't very appealling but these are minor points really. YOUSHOULD GOTHERE

food very disappointing. Inedible steak. Very tough-one of our party could not even cut the steak with a steak knife. The three other steaks were impossible to chew also. The salmon salad consisted of a piece of fish and mixed leaves - not even any cucumber. The only redeeming feature was the smoked duck starter which was delicious.

3 great courses for less than £25 on Wed pm. Lovely wine on top of that: red served at the perfect temperature, too. Don't know anything else like it in the area. Service friendly, attentive yet unobtrusive. Left feeling very relaxed and very full. It's a no brainer.

Great food, I had lamb and mint terrine and my girlfriend had the prawns to start. Both were delicious. I had the paella for main which was as good as anything you would get in Spain. My girlfriend had rack of lamb which she also loved. We shared a cheese board for dessert. Overall a great experience, we will definitely be back.

We went there because it was recommended and it turned out to be a good recommendation! The food was excellent and ample; we will go there again! The only negative was slow service i.e. there seemed to be only one waitress. She was very nice and friendly but needed an assistant on a busy Saturday night
