We had a lovely sunday lunch, food and service were both excellent. We werecelebrating 50 years of marriage with our family. The staff were friendly polite and very efficient. WILL CERTAINLY RECOMMEND
Amazing food, fantastic service, friendly and helpful staff, good choice of both food and drink. We regularly eat here, it's always our first choice in restaurants.
Excellent food and friendly service from the staff. Have been there before and will definitely go there again in the future. Can't fault it. Thank you!
Excellent food well presented with excellent service. Good menu choice with great variety. The ambience of the place was great, with the decor understated but chic
We arrive just before 5pm For our table as booked, the table was not ready and no record of us being booked in. A table was found and hastily cleared for us and we were seated about 15 minutes late. Food was ordered bit was slow on being received, we asked on member of staff when the food was likely to come, she went off to check but never came back. nearly 30 mins waiting for food. The meal was good, good portion sizes including the kids meals. Between finishing out meal and ordering dessert I took the three young children to the toilet, as we walked in the toilet, the disable/baby changing door was open, so we used this as it most convenient as a male with 3 young girls, during the couple of minutes in the toilet a member of staff locked us in the toilet. I had to call my partner to come and help us out as I assumed the door was stuck, luckily I took my mobile with me. She was then told that this happens on a regular basis and people will be locked in the toilet. We then sat down for dessert, this arrived fairly promptly but two of the kids desserts were wrong and needed to be returned.
The Gedling Inn & Kitchen having recently gone through a major overhaul has turned a grimy 2 for 10 in to a place worth shouting about. It's menu is mouth watering to read and divine to taste! Value for money.
Really good experience. Lovely food and presented well. Portions were perfect. Not too huge so we had room for a dessert. I have been to lots of restaurants who think large is best and you end up wasting food. We ate everything. Desserts: Brownie was a little dry and the rhubarb in the Eton Mess was a bit underdone and too large for the glass it came with but this is quite minor in our overall enjoyment. We have visited on several occasions now and will be back.
Beautifully and tastefully decorated. Menu was extensive with a good selection for vegetarians. We appreciated the child focus separate menu and the activities offered to our 3 year old, which kept her entertained. Lovely waiting staff with attentive and prompt service, both for drinks and food. Definitely the best pizzas in town! We can't praise the experience enough. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you.
Well we were here on Friday 22nd December and although we did not say anything to the Manager: Bish, it was not as good as all our previous visits, menu not too imaginative and portion size has shrunk, the mussels is normally a large bowl, but a small bowl with probabl10 mussels for the same price and my cod had a mussel broth of which it had 6 of which 4 were unopened so cannot be eaten, chef should be checking!? It will not stop us coming here again but we will await the Spring menu
I took my daughter for a meal after a tough week of exams on a Friday evening. The venue was clean bright and lively. We were seated quickly and orders taken. The three young staff worked really hard and were efficient and polite. Our meals were tasty. My only small quibble would be I would have liked more chips with my fish. But I am a greedy northerner! Would definitely recommend this restaurant
