6 women on a catchup weekend had their lunch at Gedling Inn before setting off for home... all was delicious and extremely tasty. 5 roasts and I had fish pie... everyone was extremely happy with their choices which left no room for deserts sadly.... staff were very attentive and friendly.

Great service as always, didn't really enjoy my fish n chips. Batter was too thick and greasy, think the oil needed changing.

Food had to be sent back for reheating. Yorkshire puddings not nice Staff friendly & polite.

We go every week for breakfast but this was the first time going for lunch and it was amazing! My husband and I both had roast beef with all the trimmings, veg cooked perfectly, meat and tender - literally could have ate it twice over! Kids had chicken strips, fries & beans, we asked for extra strips which was trouble for them to add on. And to finish my son had sticky toffee pudding with custard - loves his old school desserts and this did not disappoint! I had their amazing Biscoff cheesecake - not my first, usually take one home after my breakfast! They are that good!

Sunday lunch visit. Very good service from friendly waitresses. Nice decor, warm and comfortable room. Generous portions, competitive prices. The food was generally good, although the beef I had, although perfectly cooked, was very tough. Unfortunately there were a number of noisy, unruly, children in the dining room (not the establishment’s fault really, they are in a difficult position trying to be “family friendly”… but it did make for an unpleasant atmosphere for many of the other diners).

Excellent food as always, I wasn't impresses with the added service charge that I didn't spot until I had paid the bill. It would have been nice to have been told in advance.

Staff were working incredibly hard but each with a smile and attentiveness. Food was delicious, we were warned there would be a wait-they were busy so expected, but also freshly made to order. It was the nicest pie I’ve ever eaten. I got dessert to take home as I was so full but they looked equally delicious. Highly recommend.

We wasn't sat in the food area which we are usually sat and it was so loud as it was quiz night had a bunch of very loud people next to us and hearing bingo calling and quiz questions super loud as our table was right next to a speaker was horrendous spoilt my mums birthday meal

lovely setting ,staff great and food was lovely ,maybe could do with being hotter from serving in hot plates but not enought to take away how good it was weekend.we already booked for next week. Bill comes with service charge already on the receipt but does state not compulsory so feel free to have it took off ,we didnt as the staff are great

I have visited The Gedling Inn lots of times and always been very satisfied. They were very very busy. We didn’t get to sit where we wanted. The table was sticky and I was unable to have my first choice of meal. The food wasn't it’s usual quality. Maybe they’d over booked themselves. Such a disappointment.

We had the vegetarian Christmas fayre menu and it was absolutely delicious.

Great as always. Was busy with a Christening but they still made sure we had a good table and the food was excellent as always.
