The Restuaraunt was light and cheerful, nicely setout with plenty of space between table, STaff where very polite and curteous and very professional. The ambience was good. Our overal feeling was that we would come back. The food was excellent, cooked well and very hot. Thank you for a delightful experience.

This was our first visit to The George at Wormald Green. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. A good selection of food at the carvery, but a non carvery menu would have been useful as well. I felt the food could have been a bit hotter, but my wife was happy and she usually likes her food piping hot! We will be visiting The George again, partly because it is not too far away from home, but also because the food was good, and surroundings pleasant.

Good food, well prepared and reasonably good value although there were only two types of meat on carvery menue, turkey and beef, with extra charge for hake or duck. The service was rather inattentive.

Friendly staff, excellent ambience, meal good and filling. My only complaint is that the beef was tough. There was a power cut towards the end of our meal but it did not spoil things.

Venue super , David very enthusiastic to take the business forward . A most charming man . The food was overall good though the carvery meat was dry . The burger I had was superb . The chef said very little and it was noted he could have been more customer friendly .

Food was a high standard-superbly cooked rib of beef and good choice of roasts, plus vegetarian and fish options. Lovely selection of vegetables and giant yorkshire puddings, Service was friendly and welcoming. Only niggle is that their website says price is 8.95 and in actual fact it's 9.95. Needs rectifying. Otherwise would definitely recommend to friends.

Very clean. Everyone was very nice and polite. Food was gorgeous. Only little problem we had is they advertise it for £8.95 but they don't tell you on a Sunday it's £10.95 until you pay!

I met a friend to here to experience the carvery for the first time. We were both very impressed. All the staff that dealt with us were very helpful and informative. Service was very quick. The was a wide variety of meats to choose from at the carvery. The food , wine and the service was of very good quality. I will be returning, great first experience.

Good value and pleasant staff. However, the meats provided at the evening carvery can be a bit dry - left over from lunchtime? Restaurants is well furnished with fresh flowers on the table.

Not great! Shown to the table straight away then left to our own devices. With it being first time visit not sure what the routine was. Finally a young girl came and asked if we needed any drinks- she did not know what children's drinks were stocked. We asked her what we were supposed to do for the carvery she was not confident in the information at all. She eventually came back and asked if we wanted a starter. I eventually took the initiative to go get some food for the child as he was starving and we were having starters. When I finally got my meal I had to search for a knife and fork as the container was totally empty. Mashed potato was sticky could not get it off the serving spoon, lots of fat on meat. Good thing was the bill at end did not include our meals!! Which I did bring to their attention. No ambiance to the place!

Good food but just to busy with not enough experienced staff to deal with the amount of people...definitely recommend but need to be more organised on special event days

To few staff so the attention was poor, the beef was undercooked and the vegetables were overcooked. The range of vegetables was poor also. The puddings took ages to come, and the selection available compared with the menu was greatly restricted. For the price overall it was not worth the money. I would not go again. On complaining however there was generosity in the reduction given on the bill.

Reasonably priced and very friendly good service for drinks, starters, desserts etc - carvery was a little 'tired' - my husband asked for a slice of Turkey and chef initially said only skin left before hesitantly offering to go fetch more! But in all fairness think he was young and inexperienced. Waitress was lovely, very friendly and helpful. Menu limited unless you want the carvery, but then it is a carvery so don't expect much else.
