Food was excellent will definitely be going again soon x
Fabulous time, brilliant food. Excellent service 👏 👍 roll on next time.
staff were very p]easant and polite.good service and food very hot
Staff were lovely, didn’t rush us, gammon definitely overcooked but other three meals were delicious, not enough choice of puddings
Good value roast dinner, with unlimited extra Yorkshires roasts and gravy.
Great service great food and great atmosphere We found all the team very friendly and professional. Food was served in a timely manner The portion sizes was excellent Nice homely pub The prices were very reasonable
The food was really good. The service was a little slow but for us it didn’t matter
We ordered chicken ceaser salad as there was no sea bass that evening. 2 salads were delivered with a huge amount of lettuce 1 hard boiled egg and anchovies but couldn’t find any chicken after searching around the lettuce i found a couple of pieces of chicken which were not chicken breast. My friend went to the bar and told the staff there was next to no chicken in our salad. The salad was taken away and then returned with a portion of brown crispy chicken pieces on top. Not the lovely chicken ceaser salad i’ve had there in the past. I would not order that again.
A late booking by us for 5 people. We easily booked on-line. The restaurant staff we great and the food was good with a varied menu.
Very comfortable surroundings, food was very good and service was excellent x
Excellent service, very professional and friendly staff. My favourite pub which me and my family go to every Remembrance Sunday.
Had a really nice corner table. Ordered 2 roasts which were both delicious with plenty of veg. Fairly reasonable too.
As before it was really good been there a few times and each time the food was very good and hot not like other places we have been to we will be going there many more times in the future thanks to the wonderful staff
Pub has a lovely atmosphere, food was good i had a burger and others in my party had a fish platter. Also nice to see an option to tip staff on payment. Will see you again.
We were a table of five and most meals were good with one exception, the broccoli served with the very nice lamb shank was uncooked and inedible.
We were received by Jorgie who took our order and reserved a table that she remembered that we liked even though she was busy she found the time to come and ask us if everything was ok . The food as per normal was very tasty and at the price excellent. We would recommend this for lunch
Always enjoy lunch here. We both had the steak which was delicious . Excellent meal .staff very friendly and helpful.
Really enjoyed great food great service friendly staff , all in all a very pleasant visit Thankyou
Asked for a table near a window ended up next to the coffee machine and bar Sunday roast lunch ( Roast beef) very average Some veg luke warm, some veg very ‘al dents’, roast potatoes twice cooked and baked hard Generally disappointing We live local and thought we would try the Horns Inn, but consider the Barley Mow and The Old Inn to be superior irrespective of cost Terribly sorry, but will not be returning The service was efficient but a smile would have been pleasant Yours faithfully Gary Adams Colehill 07778 778486
Great food and service. Lovely Sunday lunch on a rainy day.
As it was a Monday did not expect that there would be any atmosphere but I was wrong . From arriving to leaving it was all good . The two girls were just so friendly band hard working . Jorgia not only served meals but cleared tables as they became empty . The good as per usual was plentiful and tasty . All in all a great lunch
Good and friendly service food was delicious very happy with our evening
It was 1pm on the Friday before the Bank Holiday weekend, no criticism of the staff, the food or the atmosphere, but we had to wait for 50 minutes with two young children. The staff helped by providing the children’s meals early (simple pizzas with salad) and on request provided crayons and colouring paper. I blame the government for imposing high NI charges so I sympathise with the owners, but the staff seemed so stressed trying to cope with a busy afternoon. That said, all very pleasant, apart from the wait.
Food was not great, steak was chewy and Wife’s chicken dish was dry. Nobody came over during our meal to ask us if we were enjoying our meal. Not that great I’m afraid !
When we booked, the Monday meal deal (2mains for the price of one) was the main attraction. I received an e-mail on the morning of the day I had booked for to day this offer had been discontinued with immediate effect. We were not the only disappointed customers.
First time loved the place and atmosphere also accommodating for wheelchair will be comeing again
About 45 min wait for food, tables not cleared had to move the plates myself In order to eat pudding, food good though
Food was great and the service was excellent could not find anything wrong will be going there again we loved it and thanks
All four of us had a lovely meal, unfortunately the bill was incorrect and a large group of ladies were rather loud !! Apart from that everything was fine.
Food was great as always Always lovely food can't beat it
Arrived on time, requested a window seat when booking.. I was told that they had not been cleared and was seated in a dark area. I would have expected them to clean one day the several empty tables bye a window, it’s seemed that they couldn’t be bothered. Left my bank card with the bar staff/proprieter, went to payment and retrieve my card and they couldn’t finding it..took several minutes for them to locate my card, it was not impressed to say the least. My steak was overdone to make things worse. Shall not be returning.
Service and food was good waited a while but restaurant was busy so understandable
We had a very enjoyable evening. Having not be in a position to visit there for some years it was up to normal standers and we will return.
We try to visit every week as not only is the food of a good quality but the staff are so friendly and welcoming . The tall guy who is there on all our visits ( I must get his name ) always welcomes us which I appreciate he does all bookings . Which is never a problem .
Lovely food good value friendly staff 😊 thankyou most enjoyable
They were so busy we had to wait just over an hour for our food however we were told this when we ordered. When the food arrived it was very hot and well cooked except for my husbands steak which was over done but we all cleared our plates and will return in the future
The whole experience was good, except perhaps for the half-hour wait after placing the order before food arrived. The restaurant did not appear to be exceptionally busy and there were very few people outside.
I believe food could be better,I rather pay more and get something which tasted like fish has I am a fisherman I do know what fish tastes like what we had was poor say the list
Gorgeous food, lush atmosphere. 😋 really enjoyed our visit. Thanks
Staff were very good there was a wait for food but we didn't mind as we were not in a hurry and it gave us chance to talk with our friends. The first table given to us was very squeezed in but luckily we were able to move to another, this was especially good as 1 of our guests was in a wheelchair. I had to take my friend to the disabled toilet which was clean and accessible even for 2 people and a wheelchair
Prompt service. Good food (although peas were a bit tasteless) at a decent price.
Not busy almost empty but service very slow. Not up to normal standards.
It was very good and even better being half price
Great pub, relaxed atmosphere and good food. Service very good.
Enjoyable meal and overall experience very reasonable will go again
Food was good, staff were nice, Christmas decorations lovely. Cosy and warm.
We haven’t eaten at the horns for a while, the service was good and staff very pleasant, we were a bit disappointed with the food, it was not as good as it used to be
I know this pub well, and was not disappointed. The food was very nicely presented, the cost reasonable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone.
No long wait for meals and ehen they did arrive they were really good. Very pleased.
Good on the whole but spoilt by a group of customers who got confused about the 50% off food from the main menu. They were not very considerate of the customers behind waiting to order. However the food was very good when it eventually arrived. It was very busy so the wait was understandable
