The establishment was clean and very well kept, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely amazing. Each course was delicious. Would definitely come back again. The fact that they also are happy to allow people to bring in their four legged friends as well that for me is a massive plus and the dog treats were there was also great.

We absolutely love coming to The Horse and Farrier. We come to Threlkeld every year for a couple of nights away and always book here for one of the evenings (sometimes both!) we’ve always had a fantastic meal. Both my partner and myself agree it is one of our favourite places. Thank you for always making us feel welcome. Look forward to seeing you next year!

It was a bit unusual booking a table on my phone and not actually speaking to a person, however, it all worked well and our experience was really good. Ambience and service was lovely and the food was nice with good choice of dishes. Here are my very little gripes. Tomato sauce should be served in a bottle not teenie weenie pots that shout out we’re being tight and has nothing to do with food hygiene and, a pie has a pastry base, sides and a top not a bowl with a pastry lid! It’s only small and it’s probably me. We will be back, lovely. Thank you.

The pub was quite traditional in it's appearance both inside and out, but in a good way. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was excellent.
