The Sunday Beef Roast dinner was mediocre, vegetables were bland and roast potatoes - well not roasted.

Good service and excellent food with a good choice for vegetarians. Also a wide variety of draught beers.

Our waiter was absolutely charming, as was the lady on the till, and the food was largely very good. Chips could have been better. Also the Green beans.

Sorry I am on holiday and every place we are eating is asking us for a review. Too many questions and really haven’t the time to handle 8 reviews. My comments are therefore brief and contained in the one off answers.

A lovely pub restaurant with a cosy feel, great staff and food. Portions generous and reasonably priced.

Lovely as always. The only thing was that there was a white haired chap in the corner playing an American channel on his phone or iPad. Very inconsiderate.

The food is great, the staff are friendly and helpful, the venue is combination of modern and historic. There were a few house flies in the bar. A bug zapper would have been good. All in all, great.

Highly overpriced pepper and salt squid starter. Cooked from frozen quality very average. Size of portion a joke.

The dog friendly table in the window had lots of flies, they moved us to a small table next to the bar. We ordered a beef Sunday lunch, and a lamb. We swapped our lunches between us we couldn’t work out if what we had was lamb or beef… they were both the same. We can only put it down to they were both beef with a lamb gravy, or lamb with a beef gravy. We ate it quickly and left. Wouldn’t go back to be honest.

Excellent food and a very warm welcome too! We only arrived a few hours before so wanted somewhere local for our evening meal and this didn't disappoint - so much so that we will be back!! Great that it is dog friendly too.

Took the inlaws after me & partner visited last year. Wasn't disappointed amazing as last year will definitely be back. Great service and fantastic quality and portions had to seek defeat and couldn't finish.

Food and service great , was expecting homemade onion rings for the price and wine wasn’t great but would recommend for a good pub meal

Lovely food, great service and friendly, helpful staff. Lovely atmosphere too. I should have voted the best for waiting times - I marked this down slightly as ideally we would have liked a bit more time between courses but it seemed our starters had only just been cleared away and the main course had arrived! 😂. Very lovely here though, would highly recommend and we will definitely be back next time we are on holiday in the area.

Fantastic Sunday roast, and lovely atmosphere. We took our 3 dogs.

We met up with friends for lunch. We all had different mains and desserts, they were all good. The service and surroundings were very good too.
