The Horse and Groom is one of our favourite pubs. Lovely birthday lunch with family. Pleasant atmosphere, good food, friendly staff. Will visit again for sure.

car park full , with people using and walking onto the waterside and not using the pub ! waited 40 minutes for our meal, and when arrived for the price paid was only average ... although it wasn't a bad meal was a little disappointed as its just been voted pub of the year... wouldn't say i would never go back but would try other places before i did ....

We were a party of 10. The service was carried out by friendly and helpful staff. The meals were all enjoyed by my party the food was hot and served in a timely manner and no plate was left empty which proves the food was enjoyed by all.

A very nice pub good surroundings. The food was very good with ample portions. Staff very good and polite , would definitely recommend. Prices reasonable.

The menu could do with a refresh, its been the same for a long time (although there are a few daily specials in addition). We invited along family who hadn't been before and unfortunately as non red meat eaters they didn't have many choices. Nice atmosphere though.

Food was good. Restaurant was severely understaffed which had an impact on our overall experience. We waited far too long for 3 meals and a shared starter. Knife that came with the starter had cheese on it.

Very enjoyable food, nice setting and although desert was delayed staff were very pleasant and reduced the bill without our asking. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Decent food, good atmosphere. Maybe not the best value for money and the cashier touch screen makes very loud beeping noises when being used so it disrupted our flow a little bit. Overall would come back but sit away from the bar

On arrival we were told there wasn't a reservation. I told them I'd booked on this internet site and quoted to them the booking reference. They did find a table for us after a few minutes and the food was very good.

Excellent food, excellent atmosphere, excellent staff. What more can be said apart from if you are looking for somewhere to eat and drink in Lincoln this place is a must.

Always have had great food there. Very reasonably priced wirh a wide range of choices.The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Service is professional and efficient.

Cosy and warm, tables had plenty of room between them and staff friendly. Had to wait a little while for our starters but when they came we were all impressed with the food. Mains again all good. Only a limited choice on the menu and a couple of specials on the board, however we all found something we liked the look of. Would visit again if in the area. Thanks.

Wonderful service and amazing food. Our waitress was a delight (I do not know her name but she had blonde curly hair) she was helpful, attentive and charming

Very good meals, ours was a table of four. Excellent and very pleasant staff would certainly visit again. Had previously gone for the Sunday lunch about 6 months ago which was very good.

We booked the Horse and Groom for a staff leaving do - we had been before as a team and always received great food and friendly service. The team were up to their usual brilliant standards.

Excellent as always 😄 Staff are always friendly and polite. Toilets are clean. Food is piping hot and tasty. Why would anybody go anywhere else?

Table was ready and big enough for my party with a high chair waiting as requested, staff attentive and polite. Been a few times; however the Lunch menu and the specials are not as exciting as they used to be!

A good meal with tasty food. Promptly served . Staff friendly and helpful. This was a Friday evening and the restaurant started off fairly quiet but soon picked up. I booked the table online on Wednesday. we here happy with the meal and service and will visit again.

I booked the table via the website - requested to be near entrance. Table was just inside,as requested. Food, service, surroundings and atmosphere were excellent.

I received excellent service, staff were friendly and efficient. Food was fantastic as always, I really enjoy their Sunday roasts. Cant wait to visit again soon

Wonderful ambiance and decor! The service was on point, attentive and friendly. All of the food we ate was delicious! We'll definitely go back soon.

Beautiful food and very pleasant staff. Good parking even though your basically close to the edge of the city centre . Shame they not open Christmas Day would have loved Christmas dinner there

Nice pub, friendly staff, great Sunday roast. We came here on a Sunday lunch time but booked ahead which was a wise move as the place was fully booked and a number of walk-ins left disappointed. We all had the Sunday Roast which was very well cooked and great value. Have already booked up to go again.

Great venue, tasty food and generous portions. Was a great atmosphere and would definitely be visiting again. However we would have liked a few more starters to choose from.

Beef last few times has been tuff not good quality and potatoes were hard used to like the Sunday roast but has gone down hill the last year

Sunday roast was delicious. Shame they ran out of lamb shank but was very happy with the slow roast pork shoulder. The rest of my family were happy with the beef. Puddings were amazing. Service excellent. We visited from the Isle of Man and if we are ever in the area again we would most definitely revisit.

We all had a lovely time. The food was amazing, all of us including the children was impressed with it. The staff were professional and friendly. We will definitely go again and most definitely recommend the Horse and Groom to friends and family.

very relaxed atmosphere with fabulous food I can highly recommend the pie. The service was second to none with very friendly helpful staff . Good range of beers.

2 adults and 1 child for a birthday. Good good. .service good. .just not outstanding. Nothing special for a special occasion. I expected more based on other reviews.

Lovely venue & staff. Had Sunday lunch at 5pm. The meat was beautiful but both the roast and mashed potatoes where only warmish and the vegetable portion was small.

A very nice 'foodie' pub. The food was lovely, not too expensive. Very nice duck salad and steak pie and i really liked the sweet potato chips as a side. It was brought out efficiently by polite serving staff. The beer was nice, a selection of 4 real ales of which I tried 2; 'Blind tiger' and 'Hummingbird' they were both in good condition. The range of soft drinks was good and my mother-in-law and daughter both liked the fact they could get a pineapple juice. We were going to a concert in Lincoln, and needed to eat, but not knowing Lincoln we booked a table online and it worked very well. All in all a pleasant experience. We would be happy to repeat the visit next time we visit Lincoln.

Fantastic food and great service! Nothing more you could want from Pub!! Will be going again for sure! Staff where super friendly and nothing seemed to be to much effort! Great job!!

Clean, tidy, food great and hot. Busy little pub, 5+ stars. Staff very helpful and atmosphere very pleasant. Will be returning. Both my wife and I had a brill evening. Not to pricey either, slightly more than a chain, but loads better food.

It took a long time for us to be served drinks, a lack of over 4 dishes on the menu, the pub quiz was not on despite that being our only reason for choosing the venue, chicken and "leek" dish had no leeks and was tasteless, some of the staff seemed inexperienced and had bad manners.

The food is great and the staff are happy to help even when they are busy great place to eat and drink and value for money.

Fabulous food but we were disappointed to be limited on the choice as three main course dishes were no longer available for our Sunday 5pm booking. Staff very good. Other downside is the noise!! Obviously a very popular place to eat but small children were running riot all through the restaurant (even under our table!) and we had to move to a quieter spot. If that doesn't bother you then it's a great place to eat.

Great food, but the service was very slow, we was going to have dessert, we was waiting so long we just paid the bill and left. The restaurant was very noisy to such an extent you couldn't hold a conversation.

Attentive service, Sunday lunch was enjoyed by all and food was tasty and portion size about right. Only complaint were the Yorkshire Puddings which were burnt and also a couple of the roast potatoes were hard. The 2nd failing was pointed out and a free ice cream was provided.

Staff bent over backwards to look after us, they even warmed my extra ice cold Guiness in warm water to make it taste the way a Guiness should taste. Looked forward to a slab of black pudding with the burger but I understand it's mixed in with the beef......which I could not taste.......when I return I'll ask for it on the side. Thank you all for a enjoyable night out.

Fantastic food, quick service and a lovely atmosphere. Roast beef was cooked perfectly and dessert was heavenly. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice family place for a Sunday roast.
