Me and my friends had a fab meal, it was the best meal I’ve had for a while, love it there definately going back.... staff were lovely too, very helpful and friendly...

Lovely carvery. Really nice choice of vegetables. Always really good.

Overall a great visit to the Island Pool, we were there for our works Christmas Do and one of our party ordered the Vegetarian option, she was told that it would be ready for her when the rest of us got our meals but there was a slight delay, and when it came she said that it wasn't exactly what she was expecting but she said that it was okay.

Good food although the main room gets very noisy when busy and it is difficult to hear people on the same table. Staff are friendly and efficient and Monday prices are very competitive

Treated ourselves to their breakfast buffet. Good variety of items for a full English breakfast. Black pudding was a bit hard but fried eggs cooked to perfection!

The roast beef was beautiful! All the veg were piping hot and fresh. Really tastes like a home cooked roast unlike so many of the carveries I’ve visited. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming too! Lovely staff and very suitable for families.

Dry, bland food and smelly blocked toilets. We will not be visiting again.

Food and service very good but need to Spend some time and effort on the facilities and toilet areas .

Very popular. Very busy. Fixed times to book for Sunday lunch. So long queues at the bar every 2 hours. My Veggie dish would not be available at the same time as the rest of my dining companions so I cancelled it and just had veg. The meat eaters all thought the food was very good. Bar had alcohol free cider and lager so a big plus and a wide gin selection as is the norm these days.

Great food, lovely decor, even supplied me with gluten free gravy. My only disappointment was the sprouts were rock hard.

Only the second time I have visited this pub.Delicious carvery but served in a freezing cold restaurant where the radiators were stone cold! Unable to have a hot drink as told there was no water today.It begs the question of how the toilets were being managed.Should this pub really have been serving food today?
