The atmosphere was friendly and had an authentic Italian vibe. The pizza I chose was delicious. My girlfriend went for a gluten-free pizza which was wasn't quite as nice as the base was rather too thick. Overall, though, a very enjoyable place to eat.

Yum Italian food in a family run restaurant. Not always an amazing atmosphere but good food and wine, friendly service and, impressively, 9/10 dishes on the menu are avail gluten free inc the bread, pizza, pasta and tiramisu, at no extra cost!

Really nice restaurant with great food and helpful/gentle waiters/waitresses. They have all kind of gluten free food which is perfect if someone is gluten intolerant.

This system of reservation is nice and simple. I got the restaurant on time and they had a table ready for us. It's really good that it's standardised, I hope more restaurants come to use this.

Dining at Cotto was a great experience when I visited for a date. We ordered a bottle of the house white because we both liked dry wine, but in truth it wasn't as light as I was hoping. The food was fantastic - the avocado, prawn, smoked salmon and salad starter we had was more than enough to share, and our mains were equally tasty. The decor was nice, the service was friendly, prices were very decent and the atmosphere was fine - it actually wasn't as busy as I thought it was going to be for a Friday night. It was really easy to find as well - only a quick walk away from Waterloo station (or a trip on the Bakerloo line if you're feeling lazy!). Overall, I'd definitely recommend this place.

Scary for Celiac's but great for everyone else. We visited this restaurant because of their expansive gluten free menu and the fact that it was our daughter's (who suffers from Celiac) 10th birthday. In reading reviews, I learned of one customer that had requested a gluten free meal and they received a regular meal resulting in sickness. Because of this previous review, we were very careful in ordering but still received a regular meal. We told the waiter two times at the table that we were requesting gluten free for my daughter. He didn't seem to acknowledge us so I went to him at the bar and told him again. He informed me that he had submitted a gluten free order for my daughter. He later delivered a meal with gluten which he didn't seem to have a clue about. He was not apologetic and really didn't seem to care. It may have been a language issue as his English wasn't the best. In any event, we didn't figure out the dish was gluten free until after he delivered it and we gave it a taste test. It was a pretty scary experience for my daughter. Despite all that, we all enjoyed our meals but you must be extremely vigilant if you are going to order gluten at this restaurant. By the way, the management didn't seem to care about the mistake either. I guess the bottom line is that there are so few good gluten free restaurants that we will have to give it a second try.

Gluten free pizza tasted good and liked the various toppings. However, the edge of pizza crust was very tough to chew therefore unedible. Staff standing outside by the restaurant main entrance door to smoke does not look attractive or inviting for others to come inside. Overall, enjoyed the experience but small areas needs improving..

Took my girlfriend who is coeliac to her first gluten free restaurant. Thrilled with available GF choices. Food was very good. Service was attentive and we were made to feel welcome. Excellent little restaurant at good prices. Would revist again.

Most of the meals and also the gluten free pizza was very good. I found the potatos and the sicilian cannolo no so fresh. Staff very kindly and atmosphere very familiar. One of the best gluten free restourant I have found.

I'd been to this restaurant before. I have coeliac disease and most of their menu can be made gluten free. The owner is coeliac so understands. We arrived about 10 mins before the evening opening hours but they invited us in and made us very welcome, even although the staff were still eating their meal. Highly recommend.

Excellent personal service, staff are so attentive and make you feel very welcome. Delicious Gluten Free meal and dessert choices. Specialise in gluten free however the menu is full of all Italian delights. I had the homemade GF gnocchi- haven't had anything so delicious in 10 years as a coeliac! Would highly recommend.

A fabulous, family-run Italian restaurant with very friendly and welcoming staff. Food is great and particularly so for coeliacs as the restaurant has one kitchen for non gluten-free food and a completely separate kitchen for gluten free food, so no risk of cross contamination. Whether gluten free or not though, this is a genuine Italian restaurant with delicious food.
