The very Traditional Italian Restaurant. Perfect for gluten free meals. ( I ordered a gluten free pizza with mushrooms and a strawberry cheesecake... Really really good!). Very good food and very nice people.
We went to Cotto on March 11, 2016. We were visiting from the US and hosting English relatives. My son has cealic disease and Cotto handled GF food better than any place I've ever been. My son loved it and it was a highlight of our trip. Food, both gf and non-gf was great and service was fantastic.
Very good service however quality of food didn't meet our expectations. Plastic like polipo affogato in a heated shop bought tomato puree, and a £19 sward fish that lacked flavour. The pizza with homemade sausage was nice, not the best mozzarella but nice spicy and fenneley sausages. Great atmosphere and location.
This is a great family run restaurant with a good choice of gluten free dishes. Food is of a high standard and portions are large. Wine list is good and reasonable. Staff are very friendly Would recommend this restaurant and will definitely eat there again RGM
Small italian restaurant away from main tourist areas of London. Great food. Large portions, so couldn't finish all the pasta which was delicious. Service very good. Will definitely return.
It's a nice place, and the staff is very welcoming. Their pizzas are great! The wild mushroom risotto was a bit bland for me though, but it might just be due to my hungarian taste buds. :) )
This is a great restaurant. Right in the heart of London you feel you are in a small Italian village. Service and food is top class
Very small restaurant, cosy and homely if you like that sort of thing, food was very nice and hot, staff were polite and friendly. I would have preferred somewhere with more space but overall a good experience.
We all had a lovely meal on Saturday night, the food was great and the staff are all very helpful. A great finish to our day as we had been to see The Nutcracker in the afternoon at The Royal Opera House. Great day all round.
Very nice atmosphere, a good old proper authentic Italian. Love the selection of gluten free dishes, a few more dairy free options would be great.
Lovely food. Simple menu, but done well. Caters well for coeliacs. Wine by the glass was very limited but more choice if you are buying by the bottle.
Das Restaurant ist klasse. Haben selten so gut glutenfrei gegessen! Dazu absolut freundliche Bedienung und ein nettes Ambiente. Haben sofort für Montag wieder einen Tisch reserviert. Fantastic!
We were placed in the entrance which was very noisy, we asked to be moved and though the waiter was accomodating, the manager seemed to be annoyed. Apart from this the food was very good and the service okay. I am a celiac, so was pleased to have so many choices. Will go again,
good esperience .. vert good italian food and the gluten free meal is a fantastic plus From Paolo - i am italian and i know very well italian taste
Great food. Lots of gluten free options and the regular food my companions ate looked good too. I enjoyed my GF lasagna! Would have enjoyed a side salad or vegetable but did not see any option for that. Would recommend!
Staff is friendly and the pizzas and spaguettis gluten free are very good
Cotto is a friendly authentic Italian, very convenient for supper after a performance at the Old Vic. We saw High Society and dined at 6 and the restaurant was already bustling with a very nice atmosphere.
By far the best Italian food in London, true home cooking and to make it even better, most of the menu can be altered to gluten free, accommodating those with Celiac disease or an intolerance. I have been several times now, each occasion with a different friend and they have all enjoyed it just as much as I have. It is so reassuring to have a safe place to eat when going out for dinner with friends and not subject them to a dietary menu that suits me. I will of course be back again soon :)
A warm welcome, cheerful and friendly manager, nice intimate restaurant, excellent food and reasonable prices. The portions were pretty good too. We loved the place and look forward to going again.
One of my favourite places to spend my money , a proper family restaurant with a staff that care. They so gluten free alternatives for all meals. Amazing
Excellent variety of gluten-free food and very welcoming staff. The food was delicious and the service was very attentive, and they didn't worry when we took so long to order as we were talking too much!
Great atmosphere, full on a Tuesday night, good value for money and friendly service. Food was hot and fresh, prompt but not rushed service, fine for a midweek meal.
Before to order we've been ensured that the GF was as big as the normal one. We got a small pizza and also, the GF pizza was too crunchy (it seemed an overcooked biscuit more than a pizza). But we also ordered a calzone and was very very good. If you really want to go, DO NOT order GF stuff, you pay more for less.
We have been to Cotto several times before and really love the fact that our son, who has coeliac disease, can order anything he likes from the menu safe in the knowledge that it will be completely gluten free. The service is excellent and the food is always delicious. We'll definitely be back.
The food was very good, especially for people who are eating glutenfree . Me and my boyfriend are eating glutenfree and we had both a very good experience here.
Fantastic gluten free menu. Friendly staff. When in London hope to call in again.
Fabulous gluten free options and very large portions! Great location so close to the station and a lovely atmosphere.
Cotto offers excellent Italian food and had a very wide choice for our celiac daughter. The gluten free menu is absolutely safe (our daughter is very sensitive).
Brilliant gluten free selection. Helpful and friendly staff. We had a large party of 12 and they got the food out efficiently. They were patient and pleasant whilst we waited for a couple of stragglers who were running late. The gluten free bread was lovely and the pizza bases were the best I've had.
Classic Italian restaurant with excellent gluten free menu. Not just one or two options but whole range of gf pasta, pizza, risotto, gnocchi etc. A find!
Very friendly welcome, speedy serving of our order and tasty food.
The atmosphere was very friendly, the food was really nice. I would recommend this restaurant.
Delicious gluten free food. The lasagne is the best I've ever had!
Always superb food and I'm gluten intolerant so love that they can accommodate the meals for my allergy
Absolutely incredible experience for anyone with celiac or a real allergy to gluten proteins/wheat. Almost the entire extensive menu could be done gluten-free and everything tasted great. The owner has celiac disease and came around to personally speak with everyone ordering from the gluten-free menu. The wait staff was attentive and helpful.
Lovely family restaurant with good tasty food and service. Wide variety of gluten free dishes as well. Would highly recommend.
The atmosphere was friendly and had an authentic Italian vibe. The pizza I chose was delicious. My girlfriend went for a gluten-free pizza which was wasn't quite as nice as the base was rather too thick. Overall, though, a very enjoyable place to eat.
Yum Italian food in a family run restaurant. Not always an amazing atmosphere but good food and wine, friendly service and, impressively, 9/10 dishes on the menu are avail gluten free inc the bread, pizza, pasta and tiramisu, at no extra cost!
Very nice value for money restaurant.great selection of gluten free meals.staff were all very helpful and attentive.only slight downside was atmosphere wasn't fantastic and decor a little dated, but all in all a pleasant experience and would visit again if in the area.
This system of reservation is nice and simple. I got the restaurant on time and they had a table ready for us. It's really good that it's standardised, I hope more restaurants come to use this.
Amazing food, Amazing service an absolutely special place, that is a rare family experience. Will definitely be returning and recommending to all my friends .
Buon ristorante italiano. Simpatici e cordiali ottima cucina un po caro
Dining at Cotto was a great experience when I visited for a date. We ordered a bottle of the house white because we both liked dry wine, but in truth it wasn't as light as I was hoping. The food was fantastic - the avocado, prawn, smoked salmon and salad starter we had was more than enough to share, and our mains were equally tasty. The decor was nice, the service was friendly, prices were very decent and the atmosphere was fine - it actually wasn't as busy as I thought it was going to be for a Friday night. It was really easy to find as well - only a quick walk away from Waterloo station (or a trip on the Bakerloo line if you're feeling lazy!). Overall, I'd definitely recommend this place.
Fantastic food and fantastic service. Would recommend, fast service, great wine, great experience. Thanks so much! . . . . . . . . .
Really nice restaurant with great food and helpful/gentle waiters/waitresses. They have all kind of gluten free food which is perfect if someone is gluten intolerant.
Very good service, excellent food and some of the best gluten free pasta and pizza in London. We will definitely be going back there again soon.
A nice friendly restaurant for those with or without special needs, food tasted good and prices were reasonable. Have already recommended it to friends and will definatly be coming back.
Amazing gluten free (and non GF) Italian food. An Italian food lover's paradise!!!!
Very easy to book and had a great meal - a very enjoyable experience
Always good, always fresh food. Friendly atmosphere, always willing to meet any special requirements.
