Had Sunday lunch with our daughter and her friend. The food was very nice, we had the Roast. Have to say though the service was indifferent. I work in the industry myself so I am possibly over critical..... It was nothing special and that's for sure.

The food , in our case the fish and chips , were exceptionally good value and reasonably priced. A pleasant ambiance and helpful staff made it a great evening.

The service and food were excellent, and the waitress even had a sense of humour, which was lovely. We have been several times now and the standard is still high. Will definitely return.

Great place for a Sunday lunch, adequate parking, nice atmosphere, good service and most importantly tasty food! Tables were nicely spaced out, perfect for larger groups!

Good service and polite staff. Good overall experience. Relaxed atmosphere. Satisfactory quality and choice of meals. The portion size however was large. To improve further there was scope to focus on quality and presentation.

Food not up to the usual high standard. Love the place and is always our first choice. The fish cakes used to be awesome but not so now

Wow this place is awesome, I took my wife and my nan on Sunday for a treat and it sure was a delightful dining experience. We all enjoyed our meals and desserts too, atmosphere was very nice and relaxed, the staff were very tentative and they listened to my request for comfy seating for my disabled nan. The overall bill was a pleasant surprise too at only £79 for mains desserts a bottle of wine and floaty coffees, we will most definitely be back with my parents next time. The setting is lovely too so peaceful and relaxing. I would recommend you pre book as it does get busy and it is a relatively small venue 👍👍

The food, service and ambience at The Lambley at Lambley for our dinner yesterday evening, Tuesday 2nd August 2016, were both excellent and faultless. In my opinion, The Lambley is outstanding.

Cheerful staff, good food, excellent value. Portions extremely generous! Pleasant environment. Lambley is a pretty village and the Lambleys garden is a very nice spot in which to enjoy it. Recommended.

We went for a special birthday lunch, and were not disappointed. The food was really well cooked. and plenty of it, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a lovely table by the window overlooking the garden. This was our second visit, and we'll certainly be back for more!

Didn't give us very much time to browse before coming to take our order. The menu was disappointing, not a great deal of choice. The food was average

Pleasant atmosphere with good honest food. Sunday lunch is a particular favourite of our family, offering a traditional roast dinner with all the trimmings. Easily booked online.

Food lovely but could have been warmer, service very slow but it was Sunday lunchtime overall good if not for the above comments it would have been a higher rating ( think they need more staff key times )

Good meal, good service good value. First customers in at midday. Bits of bread etc on the floor near the bar from the night before hence one mark deducted.

Venue and food really lovely. Just docked one mark as the service was a little slow and the staff weren't overly friendly. We would return though.

Great food and value for money but, except for taking our order and delivering the main course, utterly terrible service and we ended up walking out

Food was ok but service slow and not particularly friendly. Would not go back for a family meal - not welcoming to children (despite kids menu)

Rather nice surroundings, ok waitress but food not great. Mushrooms came on bread out of a packet & were overly salty & sweet. Aubergine was ok but didnt taste of anything & potatoes were dry, linguine was ok but chicken dry & fishcakes were dry too. Not a bad price but wont be returning anytime soon.

Three adults ate on a Monday evening which staff told us was Fish and Chip night, so that is what we ordered. The meal was very good, the staff were very pleasant and the atmosphere was pleasant. I would recommend the Lambley Village Kitchen to friends.

The food was all delicious and well presented, the service was efficient and friendly, the children's menu food was also good. The food was obviously prepared from fresh ingredients and there was a good variety on offer. The atmosphere was airy and calm, giving a very pleasant environment. Our only slight grumble would be over the time we waited for the food, which meant that the children got impatient, but that really is a minor "minus". Overall we enjoyed the experience very much.

The food was good but there was an extremely long delay between the first course and the arrival of the second course, with no explanation. At the time we were the only customers left in the place!

Hake special a very good dish, but Sunday roast dinner average, service reasonable if a little slower than we would have liked. Nice relaxed atmosphere and would certainly return to eat again.

Excellent service and very welcoming friendly staff but on this visit the quality of the food was a little disappointing. Potatoes were to salty and the salad with chicken was a large plate of lettuce leaves with very little else.

The food was excellent, the service was brilliant, unfortunately there was a group of adults with several children who made a lot of noise making it impossible to carry on a conversation. Once they had eaten the staff asked them to move because the table was reserved for a party. This they did with good grace but it rained so they came back in, the mothers were louder than the children. It would be nice if people could have a good time without causing inconvenience to other diners. The staff were very apologetic

From start to finish it was an easy process. Booked online using Quandoo, friendly greeting on arrival, and throughout the service. Attentive without being too pushy. Food was excellent, could not complaint. Would liked more choice on the desert front, but what they do, they do well.

A charming welcome from the staff on duty, very good food - the sea bream was particularly good - and delightful service, all at a reasonable price. We never felt rushed to vacate the table and the only small niggle was that soup + bread & butter doesn't need to be served on large wooden platters which are heavy and too big to sit comfortably on the table when there are 4 people. That apart, we had an excellent meal and will visit again.
