The restaurant was well presented, it was very clean and tables well presented. The service was excellent,they did not hassle you, the food was served in hot dishes and tasted lovely. Highly recommended.

The service is great and the food is delicious, it isn't the cheapest but as it was the nicest curry I have had in a long time it was worth every penny.

What a lovely restaurant! Very comfortable sitting area in small bar to givectime for a 1st drink and a look at the excellent menu choices. Choices made then led to our table and away we went! Food was excellent from the papadoms and relish through to a lovely Bhuna Prawn on Purée followed by very flavoursome Chicken Patia and Keena rice with a side of Sag Aloo. With drinks the bill was just over £40 and nothing was left over to bring home!! A must for 1st time curry lovers! For those that are aficionados of this great food, a wonderful find - try it - and go back - we will for sure!!!!

Great again the more dishes we the more we love this place what a find, we're just booking again for later this week can't wait !!!!!

Fantastic food in a lovely restaurant with friendly, helpful, attentive staff. The hardest part was choosing just one dish from the varied and mouthwatering choices on the menu.

Excellent service,food and value,if you prefer some heat in your curry don't go for the korma or peshwari naan as the latter is very sweet,first visit so will be more adventurous next time.

Beautiful venue, exceptionally clean, prompt, helpful and friendly staff and fantastic food. There are plenty of Indian restaurants nearby however I would always travel the 24 mile round trip to come to this one.

Lovely place and great food. We were made very welcome. It was our first visit there and were suitably impressed not least by the complimentary drink whilst waiting for our taxi.

Table ready on arrival. Service slow. Had to ask for poppadoms twice and a replacement drink twice. Food good. Parking a bit of a problem

Had a beautiful meal here with a group of friends to celebrate my birthday. Food, presentation, decor and service were really good. Such friendly helpful staff. Lovely touch after our meal when I was brought out a gorgeous piece of chocolate cake with a candle. Definitely going to return very soon. Thank you.

Food as usual was beautiful,had to wait a bit longer than normal waiting for courses and had to ask twice for drinks,missed the normal waiter that's usually on he is very friendly.

It was Tuesday night so quiet, but service & food were faultless. Easily parked outside. Good night with mates so slightly raucous. Bill was £88 incl starters, drinks, coffee for me the driver. Excellent. Thank you

Very pleasant surroundings, very helpful and friendly staff. The menu includes all the regulars plus a number of house specialities. Everyone in our party of 6 enjoyed the food, one saying it was the best curry he had had for 'ages' Would recommend and will be visiting again

The starters were very nice. The main courses were OK but I found the Pathia hot dish to be hotter than normal. The ambience and service was good.

The food as usual was delicious I had peppered king prawns which were succulent and very tasty. The staff were attentive and polite an overall enjoyable experience.

We are regular visitors and as always the food was delicious and the service fantastic. This restaurant has a sophisticated atmosphere everything is top quality and we highly recommend.

Although a quiet night service nothing more than adequate. Unusually for this restaurant the food was not up to the usual standard. Onion bhaji very dry and bland and chicken curries,although two separate and different orders looked and tasted indentical. Portions not overly large and pilao rice decidedly small. Remains to be seen if we return anytime soon although it may have just been on off night for them. Disappointing.

Service was very good, Whilst food was very nice I didn't think it was any more special than other Indian Restuarants in the area, I thought menu was pretty predictable. Probably not go back simply because there are better Restuarants more local to where we live

Food was lovely, staff friendly. Room temperature a little chilly and I mentioned on the reservation that it was my son's birthday and that wasn't acknowledged at all.

A very good find - excellent food, polite and friendly staff and obviously popular. Parking is a challenge but an ideal venue if you have plenty of time and are looking for a relaxed night out.

Our 3rd visit & once again fantastic service & food. We booked our table online & once shown to our table there was no rush to order. We were asked if we were ready for our main course which was nice as it gave plenty of time between our starters. Both starters & main courses were very tasty & fragrant the lamb was so tender as was the chicken. The Last Days of the Raj has a beautiful decor & an ambient atmosphere I would certainly recommend a visit to anyone.

This is a fabulous restaurant. Great food. Excellent customer service. Can't fault it. Go here regularly and we are never disappointed. Highly recommend it to others.

The restaurant was very busy, so unfortunately we had an hour waiting time before we even got our starters. But the food when it finally arrived was exceptional. We have been to this restaurant several times and therefore didn't mind the wait as we always enjoy the food.

As a very 'seasoned' curry eater, the Last Days of the Raj is up there with the best from the poppadoms to the enormous nan breads. The words that spring to mind are 'fresh'and 'flavorsom'. Excellent service in a luxurious setting. Don't be fooled by the small village location. This restaurant would not be out of place in high end, big cities. More people need to visit this place, they'll be pleasantly surprised. Ideal if you're visiting the North East, Metro Centre or Newcastle, especially the Airport, as it's only a short drive away.

Top quality from the welcome you get. Food well experience it to believe it. Staff are all very friendly & cheerful. Always being asked if allspice OK with the food ? Did we need anymore drinks or anything else. All in all a fabulous Indian restaurant of top quality.

As always this restaurant is superb. Food is excellent and the staff very professional,friendly and helpful. Best find for years can't fault it. Thoroughly enjoyed Christmas Day too.
