Such a great pub, staff catered brilliantly for the four of us, two prams and a dog. Service was kind and attentive, and the food was really tasty. This place is becoming quite a regular.

I love this pub, we went for a 50% meal in January but we often go and pay full price - it is well priced with a great atmosphere and service.

Excellent venue picked at last minute for New Years eve. Staff were brilliant, very accommodating even when we changed numbers/orders. Food was great. We all enjoyed the evening and will definitely be back. Thanks

We took our 6 year old here for lunch and managed to get a table in the garden. We enjoyed good food and great service, what more can you ask for?

Nice food and very good value with the 50 per cent off food promotion. The only downside was that it was fairly noisy so it was difficult to hear each other in a larger group.

Very friendly staff, good food. We were ther for the theatre and that doesn't seem quite joined up, but, didn't spoil the evening. Would recommend and will go back.

Lovely lunchtime menu. Delicious good. Fantastic service. We used a 50% discount voucher - August 2015. The food, service etc was not compromised in any way with the voucher. Fantastic value! Well done The Latchmere

Other than being very busy so it took us a long time to order, the place is lovely and the roast dinner was amazing. Highly recommended.

Food very good, there were seven of us and we had different starters, and they all arrived at the same time and cooked perfectly, which I thought is sign of good kitchen. Service also excellent, all the waiting staff were polite and on the ball.

Very welcoming staff, we had Sunday lunch with 3 children, the children's meal size was perfect and they loved the idea of decorating their own cupcakes. My friend had the roast beef, the Yorkshire pudding is certainly the show stopper!!! Beef was delicious and tender, I had the Sea Bass which was cooked to perfection, presentation was spot on, just the right amount leaving a small enough space for dessert which was also delicious and just big enough. Our waitress was outstanding and shame on us for not getting her name, but she catered to our every need with a smile on her face and always a pleasant word, even interacting with the children too. We have both said we are definitely coming back but without the children.

Clean, friendly pub. Great atmosphere, soft music, fast service. I would give 8/10 for dinner and 10/10 for pudding. My sticky toffee was to die for! Not the cheapest eat around but would go again.

The food was good, but there was a long wait between the starter and the main. The acoustics in the pub aren't great so when it's busy it makes it quite difficult to hear what people are saying and you almost have to shout, even when you're sat right opposite each other.

Great food but a little chaotic on a Sunday afternoon, and could have done without the football crowd which wasn't expected in Battersea. Very friendly staff though so overall a good experience.

Really nice food. Excellent service. We had the pre-theatre menu which was reasonable. It was a friday night and by the end of the evening (after the play), the crowd seemed rowdy and bar tenders extremely agitated.

I live in Dulwich, but often make the journey to The Latchmere to have Sunday lunch with a friend who lives nearby. I'm bound to say, however, that I would not take the trouble to travel to this pub if the friend were to move elsewhere. On a positive note, the renovation of the premises by the Renaissance Pubs chain seems to work well, combining the modern conveniences we expect whilst retaining some of the Victorian charm. The staff always seem friendly. However, my main criticism of The Latchmere is price. Both food a and drinks are simply not good value for money. Gastro pub prices without the 'gastro'. Although food is clearly central to the offering here, it is still very firmly a pub, rather than a restaurant. The menu changes very little and, as far as Sunday roasts are concerned, the formula is identical from week to week, the food always presented in exactly the same way with the same vegetables cooked in the same way and same quantities. Of course, the unvarying menu would suit some people very well; however, if, like me, you like variety, even in something as formulaic as "Sunday Lunch", this menu is not for you. Wine in pubs has moved on a lot in recent years and, as you would expect of a pub which places an emphasis on food, the wine list here is reasonable. However, like the food, it is pretty formuaic and overpriced. Beers include the usual bar-top kegs and a disappointingly narrow range of real ales which, you've guessed it, don't change that much. Food appears to be cooked freshly, wine and beer are kept well; but you won't discover anything new here. And, in my opinion, that is where price is critical. If I spend a £40-50 per head on a meal for two with wine, I expect more. Variety; old favourites with a twist; new dishes; new wines & ales; wines from familiar places using different varieties... The possibilities are endless and most of them are ignored here. The bottom line? If pay gastro prices I expect 'gastro'. If money is no object for you and you don't like surprises, The Latchmere could become your regular. If, like me, you like a good-value changing menu / wine list / beer selection, then there may well be other pubs that'll suit you better.

For a very quick drink and light snack before the theatre the Latchmere was very good. Did not have time to test the menu but it looked interesting and our snack was good. Some good beer,

Good good and vibe. Pity all bar one tap beers were down on the day which wasn't their fault as these things happen. But staff could be slightly more attentive when settling up. Would still go again.

We're really happy with the new Latchmere! We've been twice (so far) since the re-furb / new ownership and both times have been a great experience - good service, amazing food and booze...what more could you want out of your local?! :) We'll be back again!

Service was not great as they seemed under staffed. Had to get our own menus after waiting 10 minutes and then again when we wanted deserts. Plates were not cleared for 15 minutes once we finished our main course. Food was ok.

I am a regular at The Latchmere and normally spend £40-£50 on food and drink every Sunday. On this occasion, the pub was packed and staff looked run off their feet. I had a small table which unfortunately was next to a large group of young people who were behaving obnoxiously; they had their feet on the chairs and other seating and were throwing food and sweets around. One of them was aggressive toward me for no reason and asked me if "I had a boyfriend" at one point. I felt pretty uncomfortable and ate my food and left. As soon as I got up the group took the table and seating that had been set aside for me. As a regular who normally has a good experience every week I am still upset at what happened. In my opinion, The Latchmere is a poorer place when people like that are allowed in and to behave with such boorishness unchecked.

Good food, fantastic atmosphere and brilliant show afterwards (WINK) in the theatre 503. Would be very happy to recommend the Latchmere for an evening meal followed with a show at this ground breaking theatre.

We were given a lovely table tucked away in a corner of the pub and were promptly attended to by our waitress the choice of mains was good and we chose bbq brisket and fish and chips , the missus enjoyed her brisket and was given an ample plate full alas my fish was ok but was given a plate full of small bitty chips like u get at home from the bottom of the frozen chip bag ! Deserts next salted caramel sticky toffee pudding twas really nice but mrs eats had the oreo cheesecake which the waitress recommended mmmmmm bland heavy top with thick buiscuit bottom not very good however we were offered a refund and even free drinks when i refused politely however its all down to personal choices

This is a lovely pub. The staff were friendly and the service was good. There is a theatre above the pub and makes it very convenient to eat at the bar beforehand. The theatre menu is reasonably priced and the food is nice.

Food was delicious, I had the seafood board and my guest had the gnocchi. We liked the airy space, authentic grand wood decor, including a great bouquet of lillies, and the atmosphere for lunch, enabling us to have a great business conversation. Coffee was great as well and service was friendly. It definitely calls for another visit...

When my main course arrived, the salmon tasted slightly off. The Manager noticed my doubt, came to the table and ordered a fresh dish to be made immediately, without me asking anything. Impressive, spot on service. The second salmon nicoise was REALLY nice and the salmon cooked to perfection. My friend reported her main course was excellent too. Unfortunately the puddings were disappointing: my friend's chocolate brownie tasted good but was as hard as rock; my passion fruit posset tasted good but was very set and so heavy I could not even manage half. We will definitely come back, but might just stay clear of puddings. The quality of the main course and the wonderful service were still well worth another visit.
