The Ley Inn

Been here a few times now, probably our favourite place to eat. Great food and service, generous portions and a really good wide selection. More expensive than some pubs, but this most definitely isn't the common microwaved pub chain meals! Proper home cooked food, always great. Highly recommended!

What a lovely pub, tucked away in a lovely area. Food was amazing and the pub had a lovely friendly atmosphere, will definitely be coming back to eat and drink again with friends x

The food was Mother's day special menu. There was a varied choice on all items and as usual all cooked to their very high standard. The staff are always helpful and friendly. We have taken friends from out of the area there twice now and they have enjoyed the food. This is great for us as one of them is a qualified chef and makes it better for us when we go.

We eat here approx every 6 weeks and always enjoy our meal. The quality is very good. The wines are also good. The staff are very professional and friendly.

We visit The Ley Inn quite a lot as it’s on our doorstep!! It never disappoints - Great food and friendly staff as always. Looking forward to next time already!!

Absolutely fantastic. Loved the rag steak pudding. We haven't been before and were attending a surprise birthday / geocaching event. We will now look forward to coming back.

An excellent value lunch, at three courses for £10.95, in convivial surroundings . A lovely, friendly pub with very good food! That was our third visit in the last ten days.

Great food would definitely recommend this place for a nice meal.

They were short staffed and for some reason our order was not processed. It took 90 minutes to sort this out and my meal was not right - in terms of the menu content when it arrived - I was happy to leave the pub! In fairness they did knock the price of one meal off the bill (one of three) but sitting around staring at the walls whilst everyone around you is being fed is not really good enough. Its again all about staff training and checking on customers , and having back up staff to call on when short staffed -difficult but not impossible. They were polite but a bit evasive about their problem. The food on the whole was OK but you don't ever go back after an experience like this.

Food was good,however service could have been better,waitress somewhat abrubt and rushed,and paying the bill was a bit of a hassle,would eat in bar area if return

Our party of eight booked for Friday evening our table was ready and staff very pleasant the food and service was excellent, will certainly go again.

On arrival ordered from the Xmas menu but was told we should have preordered this. No mention of this on the copy of their Xmas menu relating to just 2 people or on their website. Finished up having fish & chips! Very disappointing.

Good food, well presented, good waitress. We took my 88 year old dad and 85 year old mum. Both very critical when it comes to eating out but they loved it. Looking forward to going back.

As always good atmosphere, excellent food, friendly and efficient staff. If I entertain friends or relations I always take them to the Ley because I don't think there is anywhere better in the area, Please don't change anything.

Great food and a good service. The Beer is good as well which is a bonus. The specials were to die for and a great special deal from these.

Fabulous meal, restaurant not overly busy. Food came out quickly & piping hot. Staff were lovely and friendly. Minor changes to meals were done with no problems

The food was good but the service very slow. Waited 20 mins for someone to come back and take dessert order. Nice friendly staff and restaurant clean

Great food but poor service from argumentative staff. It is a shame as in the main the food is ok but to argue with a customer over waiting times is appalling

I opted for the Sunday 3 courses for £14.95 and I will be going back. The pate was tasty, it came with fresh chopped salad,caramelised onions and warm soft ciabatta bread. the mixed meat Sunday dinner was delicious, everything tasted fresh and came with a large Yorkshire pudding, I had to leave 2 large roast potatoes to make room for for sticky toffee pudding with ice cream. The 2 young girls who served us were very pleasant, always smiling and very polite.

meal was excellent staff friendly quite a wait for main meal because they were extremely busy that shows it is a very popular place would go again.

Great food , excellent service and relaxed atmosphere. Good venue to catch up with friends or familly , no loud music to talk over. Will definately return in the future.

We had quite a ong wait for our main meal which was disappointing. We also thought we had read somewhere that if you had a fob that if it was your birthday you got a free drink. This was not offered , was that wrong?

went there for an anniversary meal, my husband had the t-bone steak and it was cooked to perfection, I had lasagna and it was excellent , would definitely recommend to anyone

We had the steak and it was cooked to a perfect medium rare, and the house Merlot was the perfect choice of wine to complement the food. I would thoroughly recommend The Ley Inn.

Efficient service, nice surroundings, meal value for money, most of us had the two courses for £11.95. Could have done with vegetables with steak meals

Ate here for first time last week. Lovely waitress who served our food and drinks promptly. Food was delicious and well priced. New to the area and a great find on our doorstep. Will eat here again.

Food was excellent and waiting on staff very friendly ,only a small criticism but the staff seem rushed off their feet so getting drinks took some time but I will be visiting again soon

Visited for my birthday with my family. Staff very helpful and pleasant. All adults had the 2for£11.95 options and were very pleased with quality and quantity of food. Very enjoyable evening.

Reasonable value,let down by not getting quite what you ordered and nobody coming to ask you if everything ok!! 2 of our party ordered burgers and had to ask for ketchup of which we were given 2 sachets not each between us!! On a better note the dessert of the specials menu was very good. Overall ok but won't be rushing back.

Took my brother and his wife for a meal, we were made welcome as always, good service and great food. Could not fault it at all

Food and Price is excellent at the Ley Inn. We were seated in the restaurant area for our second visit. The main issue is the service, whilst you are quickly seated and orders taken, the service after this is very slow, check backs done when your pretty much finished and find it difficult to get a member of staffs attention to order more drinks/ask for dessert menus without getting them yourself. Time waiting between courses can also be quite long. Atmosphere is good and food quality excellent!

We had a great meal in a relaxed atmosphere. We would certainly go again, we had friends over and they loved it. We will be back soon.
