The Lobster Pot - Nottingham

Absolutely fantastic seafood, we had oysters, king prawns & lobster and they were amazing, best I’ve had in this country!! Will definitely go back and would highly recommend to anyone !!

Excellent food and very friendly service. Thai mussels were just superb, as was the Tuna main course. Really enjoyed our evening at The Lobster Pot in Nottingham.

Great visit from start to finish. Attentive staff made sure we had everything we needed, and the food was just amazing. We had the lobster shellfish platter, and everything in it was so fresh and tasty. Can’t recommend The Lobster Pot enough!

Went for a meal with some friends and the food was really nice, however it was served by a lady who wreak ed of cigarettes and who was obviously smoking during service!!! This let the restaurant down!!!!

Very interesting and varied menu. Great for fish lovers, fairly small restaurant but this allows for a personal touch and attentiveness towards food and customer.

The food and service was amazing .I had the crab ball for starter which were very tummy and of course half a lobster for the main course omg it was really tasty a you must visit

Great food, good menu and plenty of help from the staff on getting the fish out of the awkward shells using special tools, recommend highly.

We had dinner there for my daughter’s birthday. The food is great, the price is reasoanable and service is good. We will definitely be back.

Food and service were excellent. Made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The mussels I had were delicious as were the crab bites.

Fantastic taste! Especially the garlic butter flavor. I love grilled oysters and lobster. Lovely service. They even teach you how to use tools to eat.

Really lovely friendly staff and tasty food at a reasonable price. We had a lobster seafood platter to share and some excellent fries. Chef kindly modified the platter to leave out the oysters, offering us calamari and more mussels instead. A bit disappointing that some of the seafood was clearly pre-formed/prepared, as was the chilli sauce, and the prawns looked like the type you get frozen from a supermarket... but I suppose you can't expect much more this far inland! The lobster was really excellent.

Great second visit to this restaurant. Close to home, tasty food and attentive wait staff. I will continue to recommend the Lobster Pot to other friends and family.

Lovely service, great valentines decorations, it was our second visit back to the lobster pot! Gorgeous food, the grilled sharing platter is so nice, oysers & lobster were my favourites! We will come back again!

Good service, hot delicious food. Will go again. Dessert a little over price but did not spoil our enjoyment. We went midweek so not too busy

Really good, the 2 starters, mains and sides with a bottle of wine for £50 is crazy good value and the lobster was lovely! Staff were great too.

Food and service were both great, very polite and had the patience to wait for the indecisive member of our group. The only problem with Lobster Pot is isn’t location, as it’s in that mid point between far enough from city for its own parking and not quite central enough to benefit from city parking/tram routes. Will definitely go again :)

Starters great, nice chowder, perfect and prawns nice. Main course of Thai prawns with rice nice although my request for spicy didn't really make the dish that spicy. The Lobster was a bit of a disappointment, the claws were great and soft but the body flesh was a bit tough. I suspect there isn't the demand there for whole lobster and so perhaps it may have been either frozen, not fresh or maybe over-cooked. Otherwise fine and we will give it another go sometime and go off the fresh fish parts of the menu.

Brilliant food and atmosphere at the Lobster Pot. Can’t fault the service or the delicious meals. Will definitely be going back, I had the special cod in Thai green curry sauce, very good.

Been to this place a few times now. Surely is the best lobster in town. Reasonable price, good portion and lively taste. I always have the seafood platte with extra 12 oysters and chef's special king prawn fried rice. Highly recommend these three.

Fantastic service, delicious fresh seafood served with imaginative twists. I usually come for the mussels but was tempted by the scallops this time and wasn't disappointed. Ask the staff for recommendations. Best seafood place in Nottingham, without a doubt. Thanks for a wonderful meal.

It was an amazing experience got upgraded from the crab platter to the lobster for no extra cost (due to there being no crab left). Very impressed with everything!

Booked a table for 6.30 was greeted by friendly staff who made us feel welcome, my partner had Lobster for the very first time and the staff took time to show her how to eat It which was appreciated. Overall a great experience, great food, great service will be back to try other seafood dishes. thank you all

Amazing restaurant. The grilled lobster platter was delicious and the service top notch. It was my boyfriend's birthday and they did everything they could to make it special. Will definitely be returning to try some of the other dishes!

Good food, very good service, didn't like the coffee though. The oysters were very fresh and tasty, wine by the glass was good quality and not at all expensive. Will definitely go again.
