Lovely old pub with river views. Good service and cracking food. Save space for the cheeseboard if you can. It was busy on a Monday night so worth booking a table.

Nice environment once a large group behind us left. Food was overpriced for what it was.

The specials were, as always, top notch. We went for the quiz but ate at the same time and enjoyed both. The lamb was really tasty as was beef pie

We received friendly and attentive service - including being happy to brave the crowded bar to get drinks for those of us who didn't want wine - a great range of excellent food in wonderful ye olde pubbe looking onto the Thames. We left very happy. A deservedly popular pub-restaurant.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. My roast wasn't quite as hot as I would have liked but this was almost forgotten after the delicious sticky toffee pudding I had for dessert. Wonderful pub to spend a quiet Sunday afternoon.

Beautiful old pub tucked away in Rotherhithe village. If you're eating then opt to sit downstairs in the pub rather than upstairs in the restaurant (it's a bit cramped but there's loads more atmosphere down there). We had the Sunday roast but it was a bit disappointing (no crackling with the pork!?!). The apple and rhubarb crumble was delicious though. I'd definitely recommend this pub for a quiet pub in a quiet corner - just don't expect too much from your roast.

It was a lovely evening with friends. Good food and the Fish and Chips deal was excellent. Staff did not rush us even though it was a busy evening.

Had very nice lunch there, we were seated upstairs with the view of Thames. Menu is quite varied and service was friendly and the decor is very cosy, lots of candles which makes it look very nice when the evening comes.

It's always nice to go back to the Mayflower. Excellent beer (the Scurvy is particularly to be recommended) and generous portions in a great setting alongside the Thames.

Great traditional old world pub with quirks, serving a good selection of wines and beers especially cask ales!, the food is great much better than the average pub food served with a smile by all the staff there.

I went to the Mayflower for Sunday roast. I had the vegetarian Wellington which was delich. My friends had the meat options which looked lovely. The pub is a tight squeeze being as it's so old and small so I would recommend booking a table. It was a great time and I will definitely be going back

A perfect location for introducing our friends from France to a typical English sunday lunch. Atmosphere and staff just perfect. Food great. Would have given a 6 score but for the fact that the sunday roasts were not really quite hot enough. All in all though a great experience.

Nice pub, lovely service and staff but let down by the food. We both had the roast dinner; the beef was chewy, the yorkshire pudding was a little burnt and the vegetables weren't very fresh. It's a shame as I really like the venue.

Highly helpful staff, reliably good food. As with any restaurant, I's be happier if there was a strictly free-range policy on eggs, chicken and anything containing eggs, e.g, I once enquired there if the tartare sauce contained free-range eggs, and the answer was that egg powder was used, so basically no. This is not a direct criticism of the Mayflower, which I think is generally excellent, just that I think it is archaic that battery hens / their eggs are still widely used in the food industry, and I think places with already good reputations like the Mayflower could gain even wider appreciation by following such ethical practices. Thank you for your service.
