Good food though some of the sauces were less tasty than they used to be. Good atmosphere, always very busy and lively. A good night out.

This is such a lovely place to catch up with friends and grab a bite to eat. Very friendly staff and great food. Sitting on the riverfront jetty is a great way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon

The staff is friendly and efficient as usual. This time, we had to wait a very long time for our food, the rack of lamb was not up to standard, and the vegetable supposed to be in the dish was not there.

Unfortunately we were delayed because of traffic, but theMayflower held our reservation. Starte of Mussels was awesome! So I feel as if I have had 2 main courses! Vegetarian roast butternut squash was also excellent!

Wonderfully historical pub with excellent food. Views of the City skyline and river traffic from the upstairs dining room are spectacular. Not easy to get to from Liverpool St station by public transport - we took a cab

It is a very pretty building with good river views. At night the candles come out. Good service, even when one of our party was late. Nice food. Do look at the specials board. Recommended.

A very lovely Sunday roast, generous portions and beautifully cooked. Service is considerate, efficient and friendly. They even reacted to my booking note to give us a window table for the benefit of my friend, whose birthday we were celebrating. Fair prices and a very interesting, characterful venue.

Good food, great views, wonderful service. Definitely go. It is an excellent gastro pub with lots of London's history. It is worth the trip across the Thames!

Great atmosphere, great staff, meals OK. First visit burgers super. Second visit, in the snug which we thoroughly enjoyed, all had steaks - meat could have been better, cooked exactly as ordered but a bit flavourless - could have done with some garlic. Very much enjoyed our visits thank you.

Enjoyed Sunday roast here on a visit from Toronto, but definitely not our first time in London! Staff were very friendly and the atmosphere can't be beat - very warm and historic. The neighbourhood is also great - trees, quiet streets, the Brunel Museum next door, the Thames just outside... plus only a couple minutes north of Rotherhithe rail station. Easy access from Canada Water on the Jubilee line. Now for the food! Choice of meat for the roast was a first for us - and a welcome one at that! We had Somerset pork and lamb instead of the usual beef and they were cooked fabulously, but of special note were the seasonings and the gravy. Other places we've tried under-seasoon the meat to the effect of leaving it almost naked-tasting. Here, it tastes as good on its own as well as with gravy! I also have to praise the potatoes - taste, texture.. top notch. There's a lot to love on a tried-and-true dish that suggests other things on the menu are just as good! Onion rings were good (housemade) and their sticky toffee pudding was out of this world, although it was our first so we can't compare just yet. Overall, a fantastic pub in a great quiet neighbourhood that is a must-try for those who have eaten downtown and want to see what they've been missing outside the tourist traps. Why not make a day of it and check out Greenwich Park afterwards? You'll want the hike, and the sunset from high up on the hill is sublime.

The Mayflower is a real gem - historic pub, decking that goes out over the Thames (with outdoor heaters, blankets & water bottles so it's still good in winter!), nice range of beers, and a decent pub quiz. I'm going back there tonight!

Great spot and excellent service. We ate late (2.30pm start) so the slightly overdone roast and not too crispy Yorkshires were forgiveable. We will keep going back.

I am a regular visitor to the "Mayflower". On this occasion, I had chicken Kiev, with salad; and my companion had a vegetarian platter. Both were fine, though I would rate my salad as a little uninteresting. Also, the bread with the vegetarian platter was not as good as the rest of the meal. For dessert I had cherry Bakewell, with clotted cream, which was excellent. Service friendly and obliging though, unusually, a little slow on this occasion.

The food was quite exceptional, on a par with the other meals I've had. However, this outing only gets a four as whilst still eating we were asked to move tables to make way for a group had hadn't booked a table. The member of staff was very polite etc when asking and didn't charge us for our desert, but to be honest having to move half through a meal was a little embarrassing and shouldn't have happened.

Had a very enjoyable dinner from the overflowing bowl of mussels through to the sticky toffee pudding via a beautifully cooked sea bream, everything was delicious. And I haven't even mentioned the wine and buzzy atmosphere.
