The Mayflower

The Mayflower is a pub and restaurant full of atmosphere with friendly, efficient staff and delicious food. Great location on the Thames with views from the restaurant and the terrace.

Great food and drink as usual (I recommend pie and mash and the Mayflower scurvy ale). The quiz master was on top form, good quiz with lots of different rounds.

Great service, lovely food and an atmospheric pub - what's not to like! Really enjoyed the experience and looking forward to coming back again one day soon.

Amazing place, amazing food and amazing service. We spent a really nice night and we were taken care by a very nice waitress, (sorry, I do not know her name, the girl with the dark long hair). We will go back for sure

This was our second visit to The Mayflower. My companion and I both had a main course and dessert, all excellent. Service was friendly and efficient.

The Mayflower is a great place. Went there for a Hallowen night and everything was perfect. From the food to the beer. Hope will be there soon again.

Prompt service and good food, with a great view. A good experience, which we will repeat soon. Not much choice for vegans and there was a muddle with ordering, but sorted out by the restaurant without fuss,

Amazing atmosphere, amazing food and amazing staff. They were also extremely accommodating, I suffer from 5 quite tricky food allergies and they went out of their way to ensure I was looked after. I can't recommend this pub enough - make sure to book as they get incredibly busy.

The Mayflower is a real gem, backing on to the river and steeped in history. It's both a proper pub and a restaurant, with well kept beer, good no nonsense, tasty unpretentious food and staff who were delightful, friendly and helpful. We'll be going again.

Good ambience. Piped music not intrusive. Good food at a fair price served with a smile. Good selection of beers. Excellent location right on the Thames.

Great place! Service was friendly. Ambience & food were just what we hoped for. Nice walk from Tower Bridge through interesting neighborhoods. Wednesday's Pie Night is a great deal.

The Mayflower was a bustling pub on a Tuesday evening. Fortunately we were dining upstairs where it was quieter. Good service, coupled with good food. We had mussels and scallops to start (my partner commented that the mussels were a little gritty), followed by a venison and lentil pie and the lamb fillet salad. The pie was really good, the salad was good but a little wet for my liking. It deserves to be as busy at it was as it was a very good pub meal!

Service fast and efficient, food good with generous portions. Pudding disappointing because although it was a lovely creme brûlée , it was straight from the fridge and would have been so much better warm.

Always friendly and efficient service, great food plus lots of atmosphere. Also good place for an after dinner walk along the river. Worth booking in advance on a Sunday.

Really lovely roast dinners. On Sunday evenings, the place is lit by candlelight. Very popular place so make sure to book in advance. Deserts are very nice too.

So cozy and friendly! The food was wonderful and the atmosphere really made the experience. Will definitely be going back. Hopefully will try to get a table on the terrace overlooking the river.

Very good atmosphere, friendly staff and brillant food. Location is ideal, directly on the Thames. The pub below the restaurant is also worth a visit, with its large terrace.

The mayflower restaurant and bar were both very crowded on a Friday night but the staff, food and drinks could not have been more lovely.

This is a unique venue. Atmosphere, beautiful river views, attentive staff and really good wholesome food and real ale.It is great for parties and also brilliant for a small romantic dinner . The atmospheric lighting and stunning location make it a must visit for south of the river.

Excellent food as always at the Mayflower, one of my favourite pubs in London. It's cosy and has a great atmosphere and is in the lovely area of Rotherhithe village. Service was pretty good despite it being a busy night. You must book a table here if you want to eat, especially on Friday night as they are always busy. I'm not giving it a top rating as unfortunately one of the waitresses was rude and snappy with us when we asked if we could order, which was a real shame as we come to this pub very regularly.

We needed an historic Public House in London to entertain our Daughter from South Africa and the Mayflower came up to expectations in every way.

The view from the restaurant is great. The food is not so great. I had steak (good), chips (not fresh cut) and an additional peppercorn sauce (disgusting - couldn't eat).

Lovely food, fantastic service! Would recommend to anyone looking to visit and will definitely visit again next time we are in London. Have the rack of lamb if it's on the specials!

Always very friendly service and the pub has a great amosphere. The food is always reliable and excellent value - I always take friends there!

We had a late lunch last Saturday for a group of seven. I enjoyed a starter of perfectly cooked scallops followed by a tasty steak and Guinness pie with nicely crunchy veg and chips. The service was casual but friendly and the whole offering provided good value for money. My only complaint was that we were made to vacate the table at 16:00 even though it was clear that no-one else needed it - I got the feeling that they just wanted us out so they could put their feet up.

Excellently efficient and friendly customer service from Fatima in the Mayflower restaurant simply cannot be faulted. Compliments to the chef too - my wife and I enjoyed three courses apiece from the varied main menu, and enjoyed every well prepared and presented mouthful. Atmospheric surroundings on the banks of the Thames, which are steeped in history. I have no hesitation in recommending - we'll be back with a bigger group in future!
