Shown straight to our table we were optimistic, however there was a wait for drinks order and then a wait for wine to arrive (as a 'drink') and a wait to then order in fact we were all trying to catch staff as they passed for some time. The waits between each stage were noticeable and irritating although better than previous owners. Disappointingly, only v small bottles of sparkling water. At each stage, the staff were pleasant and knowledgeable, and it was clear that there were insufficient staff for the number of clients present. Will go back.

Great meal. Great service. Really lovely building. Not bad value for money.

Loved this place. Good food, good service and the lunch menu is excellent value. The restaurant is in the middle of a mill complex and the atmosphere is very good.

A great night the food as always was gorgeous. Service slightly slower than normal but that's how I prefer it. One of my favourite restaurants just love it.

Because of all the building work going on around the area it was difficult to find. NEED SIGNS FROM THE ROUNDABOUT AND ENTRANCE WHERE THE WORK AND SCAFFOLDING IS TO POINT YOU IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION TO THE RESTAURANT. ALSO FROM CAR PARK SIGNS NEEDED TO SHOW THE WAY TO THE RESTAURANT ENTRANCE. Thought the food was average. There was no atmosphere as the restaurant was empty, possibly because the building work puts people off going??

Interesting menu, pleasant staff and well presented, tasty food. The restaurant has no absorbent sound reducing materials and therefore it is difficult to hear conversation around the table.

Pre theatre visit so empty when we arrived but soon filled up. Friendly staff. Requested small change to the meal I was ordered and dealt with by consulting kitchen and agreeing with my request. Well done to all the team.

Really nice meal and service from a very last minute booking

We enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch at The Mill today. We ate roast beef and our 3yr old daughter had the kids sausages. The pack given to our daughter was fantastic! Stickers, crayons, paper & bag. Wonderful they are so accommodating with children! Pudding was scrummy - apple and berry crumble and sticky toffee pudding. Nice and hot without scolding anyone (as crumbles often do!) The service was attentive throughout, with perfectly timed visits to our table. We would highly recommend and shall be back again soon!!

I’ve visited The Mill quite a few times before but on this occasion I took my parents for Fathers’s Day. Mum and I had the roast Beef which was yummy, it came with I nice big Yorkshire pud & a selection of veg not to forget the gravy (we did ask for more but I’m a gravy kind of girl!) dad had the chicken breast on a bed of mash which he requested without kale and they happily accommodated him by swapping for peas. We all had dessert the crumble was huge & tasty, the cheese board had plenty on including frozen grapes which were nice but dad didn’t quite get it (but he doesn’t eat them anyway) mum’s sticky toffee pud was a little rubbery but she ate it but I have to say it’s normally ok. Cant fault the staff at all they were all very attentive and polite. The sun came out too! Thank you for a lovely meal. Kerry.

This was our first visit which in most respects was positive. The food was very good but waiting for it was way too long. Our group decided against ordering a dessert as we feared another long wait.

Nice venue- had character and was small enough to feel cosy. Good service and lovely food at good prices.

Staff extremely welcoming and attentive. No fever tree tonic which was disappointing. Considered £9 for the prawn starter on a slice of greasy garlic bread was extortionate, especially considering the prawns were quite rubbery. Otherwise good pub grub

Lovely place! Great food & attentive staff. Sunday lunch finishes at 4 so we missed that but the normal menu was great anyway. I will be back again soon!
