The Mill Bar and Bistro

Our first time at this relatively new restaurant and certainly not the last! Very welcoming staff and a lovely setting in a restored mill. The food was excellent. We chose the set lunch, which is good value. My halloumi starter served on peaches, was a delightful 'first' and free range chicken was 'delicious', declared my husband. Being able to park right by the mill is also helpful and tables outside mean you can enjoy the sun. Highly recommend The Mill.

Enjoyed a drink in the bar area whilst we looked at the menu, the wine we ordered was placed on our table whilst we finished our pre dinner drinks downstairs. No one in the party had a starter and we all had different main courses. My companions said that the slow cooked beef was wonderful and so tender it fell apart at the touch of a fork and that the pork was tasty and very tender and the accompanying mash potato was very nice. My own smoked fish mornay was very tasty and the restaurant was very accommodating in that the dish was cooked without the sautéed spinach running through it at my request, and a generous dish of mixed greens served instead. A very pleasant evening and the food was delicious.

Absolutely fabulous! Service couldn't have been better! A really extensive menu, it was difficult to choose! Friendly staff, great atmosphere absolutely loved it. Will return.

Slightly disappointed in having to wait for food & then given the wrong vegetables. Friendly staff apologised however for mistake. We wish The Mill well.

A little disappointing. Staff very helpful and enthusiastic. However the menu, although reasonably priced, was a little unimaginative. The food was fine if not exciting. There were only a very few people present so atmosphere may well be better in the evening .

Beautiful meal, service and staff excellent. We sat outside for our starters and prosecco enjoying the evening sun, perfect. Then inside for our main course. We were really looked after I can't wait to go back.

Great service and good food! I had the garlic and chilli prawns to start and it was delicious! The smoked haddock nor nay was equally good. Plenty of choice for vegetarians/pescatarians. The beer was a bit pricey but that’s the only small criticism

Very pleasant unhurried lunchtime experience. Wide choice of menus - snacks, lunchtime, full a la carte. Good service. Could possibly be a little faster, but better than feeling they just want you finished and out!

A fantastic meal, great staff and lovely venue. We went for our a work meal last night and all 7 of us really enjoyed the food, atmosphere and new, refreshed restaurant. The Steak pie was delicious!

The service was second to none. Staff couldn't have been nicer or more efficient. The food was beautiful. The only reason didn't give a 6 was because they had run out of draft lager and only had bottled. The atmosphere was great. Will definitely recommend it to friends and will be back! Thank you.

Mediocre menu, with one exception indifferent staff, building looked like an unfinished project compared to previous operators. Restuarent within easy walking distance from home, but sadly don’t think it’s worth the walk!

Lovely atmosphere, good food, great service. What more could you want? I hope that when the restaurant is busy, the staff can cope with the numbers. I would certainly recommend The Mill to anyone.

Went late on a Sunday evening when restaurant had only newly opened a few days before. Difficult to assess at this stage - very quiet and little atmosphere. Had a starter and 3 tapas. Probably chose the wrong things. Portions quite small and nothing special. Starter of tiny mussels was only tepid. Staff were friendly and attentive. Will need another visit to assess more accurately!

Lovely food and staff. A nice refresh of the Buon Apps restaurant. For anyone who misses Korks, this is a must visit. Many of the staff are the same and the food is very similar. We'll be back!

Absolutely delicious... great venue and great staff too. We had the Sunday lunch... Yorkshire pudding to die for and the two fish dishes we had were sublime... have already booked to go back on Wednesday.

Brand new restaurant, had a nice relaxed feel to it , the service was excellent and the food was lovely and well presented, we were spoilt with the choices available, will definitely revisit! Wonderful evening
