Excellent service and food, always a delight A* * * would recommend to anyone as this is a gem in the city centre not to be missed

Eve meal on a Friday. Buzzing atmosphere. Reasonable choice of dishes. Couple of good choices for a vegetarian. Beautifully presented & delicious. Friendly staff. Very enjoyable evening.

We had a few problems with the drinks but it was sorted by the very friendly staff. The food was delicious and the staff were lovely. We had a great time.

The restaurant has a nice feel about it, the staff are very friendly and helpful but unfortunately the food was a little bland. We all had a Sunday roast. It was very generous but the meat was a little tough and the roast potatoes had very little flavour. The gravy in particular had no taste at all. The wine was good and not over priced.

Not all staff were aware of this offer and we felt we may have been presented with a regular sized fish portion rather than the size advertised. However the staff and the food were very nice.

Met with a friend from out of town for lunch today, so decided to book for the Monro. As always the staff were so polite and attentive, the food delicious. We had a sharing platter to start which had ham hock terrine, scotch eggs (monro style), delicious dip and home made piccilli and an array of cheeses and breads. We had the Monro burger with hand cut chips and salad and a butternut risotto. Both were beautiful. We decided although we were full it would be rude not to have a dessert lol. Eton mess was our choice, all we could say is nom, nom, nom lol. I would have no resitation recommending the Monro to any diners, my friend was very impressed. Thanks again the Monro.

It's a lovely little gastro pub where the food is just right and cooked to perfection! Really reasonably priced too! The decore is fab & it has a really nice atmosphere too. We'll definitely go back!

Lovely meal. I chose the lamb which was cooked to perfection and the cocktails are great value at 2 for 10 pound. Staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. Will definitely be returning.

Had Sunday lunch, enjoyed it, good size portion. The one complaint I have is that the service was extremely slow. Would visit again though as may have been a one off.

Lovely food and great friendly service. Visiting Liverpool and I wish we had a place like this near to home. Will certainly go back we're ever in the area. The Monday night offer we had was excellent value for money. Normal prices were still good though given the quality of the food etc and I would be happy to pay the extra for the premium times. Well done to them! Oh and what a joy to have a Server who actually put the word 'enjoy' into a sentence!

As ever the food and service was great. If anyone knows of a better Sunday roast in Liverpool let me know because this one is hard the beat.

As lovely, staff friendly & knowledgeable on the menu ...definetely going to return here soon. Slightly slow bringing drinks was the only slight aspect where there was room for improvement

Probably the best place in Liverpool to have British food. They combine British tradition with innovation producing good results. However, it is slightly expensive. I would say that the fair price would be 15% lower

Saturday night in lively Liverpool entertaining friends from Cardiff. Make sure you book this restaurant in advance as full to the brim. The food was all truly lovely. I had the hake and I couldn't have chosen better. Great taste and great flavours. The atmosphere was enhanced by the bustling customers But the service didn't suffer one bit. Will return.

Excellent food and service as usual. Always recommend to my friends and family and they have said the same. Cant wait to visit again soon.

We had a very pleasant late afternoon / early evening meal at the Monro on Thursday 29th October. We were impressed that the waitress let us go "off menu" for a shared starter - and we had a delicious platter of olives, bread, oil and balsamic vinegar. We then both had fish and chips which we thoroughly enjoyed. The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. We will certainly come again. Thanks again - Patricia.

Been to The Monro many times and We can always rely on them to serve excellent grub . More than satisfied with the service and food we ordered. Will be going back for extra helpings of the same very soon. Would highly recommend

Lovely evening, food lovely, good atmosphere, staff great, not cheap, but we didn't want cheap, you get what you pay for! I recommend the rack of lamb, mmmmm. Will go again.

The service was great. Had a lamb roast dinner which was lovely but could have done with more gravy and the roast potatoes where a bit dry. The chocolate tart was really nice and the price was reasonable. So overall I would return again as I did really enjoy the food. Many thanks

Visited the Monro on the recommendation of friend' s ex husband. Booked the meal before setting out for Liverpool. Walked the interesting streets to find the venue . Weather was brilliant and both the service and the food were fantastic. Will go again.

We had a lunchtime table for four on Tuesday 3rd October. We all enjoyed our experience, and found the staff very friendly and pleasant. The food was very good, as was the service. We will certainly come again.

Booked this restaurant through Living Social and as such had a good deal. Food was good and service was very good although would not have been happy having paid full cost. Had to send soup back as only just warm.

fast, efficient and effortless. Would definitely use Quandoo again. Confirmation by email recieved immediately after booking and then a reminder email just before my booking date.

Best roast going!!! Service was fast, food came out quickly as did the drinks and delicious food! Can't go wrong really! Definitely recommend but book in advance!

Staff at the Monroe as normal were fantastic and are worth just going to see how good they are....The food is just an added bonus

We had a wonderful evening at the monro. The food was delicious and perfect portion sizes. The staff were very efficient and always nearby if we wanted more drinks etc. Overall experience was excellent. The monro has a lovely atmosphere and decor. Will definately be returning.

A little gem, great ambience, sumptuous food & attentive staff. We visit Liverpool regularly & have dined out in numerous places but this has topped the list! 😊

The service was exceptional,they pampered our every need, only issue the bar was loud would have preferred back room. My own fault I should have asked

Staff was attentive and efficient. Prices seemed a little high and the menu selection could have been broader. Bar was good with good selection offered.

The Staff were excellent and a very pleasant venue ambience excellent scallops the best ever by stake was not the best however very reasonably priced thank you

Excellent food and service but disappointing on two counts. Firstly they had run out of scallops even though scallops featured in both starters and mains on the menu and no warning had been given by the waitress that they were running low. Secondly there were two errors on the bill. We were charged for scallops that had been ordered but turned out not to be available and after this error was corrected we spotted that another main, the hake, was over £4 more on the bill than the price on the menu. This error could easily not have been spotted and since both the menu and the bill were printed there was clearly something wrong with the restaurants billing system or an error on the menu.

Food was fantastic and so was the service. our visit was a birthday treat for Mum and Aunt (75 and 85); we all loved it.
