Very good And dog friendly what more could you ask w
Fantastic meal at The Monument. Never been before will definitely be going back. Great food, service and surroundings 😊
Lovely food and very reasonable prices . Friendly staff. Very quiet considering 2 big matches on - feel so sorry for local pubs and the lack of support from the community ☺️
Really lovely prompt service really generous portions well worth the money and definitely a second and third visit thank you the staff at the monument
I chose this pub because I had my two year old grandson with me and the pub had a play area. The pub staff were really accommodating. We had a lovely table in the bar area as they had a function on in the dining room. I had booked online and they rang beforehand to explain that we wouldn’t be in the restaurant. As soon as we arrived with my grandson a childs menu was brought over without having to ask. I ordered the child’s meal to arrive before ours which it promptly did. One of the waitresses asked if we would like some colouring for him and produced two proper colouring books and a tin of sharpened pencils. All our food was delicious. The service was prompt and the food arrived piping hot. The baby changing facilities were first class and unisex which is frankly exceptional. The play area was also amazing with swings and a slide, a Wendy house, rocking toys and real rabbits in two huge runs which my grandson adored. All this was in a fenced off area with a gate. We had a thoroughly pleasant lunch which is unusual with a two year old! We will be back!
affectionately Known as the 'Old Farts' club, me being the youngest of course!!! we visited on Friday 11/01/2019 its the first time we had been here as a club group, and we were not disappointed! the food was lovely and really generous portions for the money, our waitress was helpful, pleasant and attentive, I cant say we will return every month as we like to try other venues, usually in Whitstable as its central to most of us, but we will certainly add The Monument to our list of 'Go To' eating places.
This was the best Sunday roast my family and I have had EVER! Absolutely delicious, plenty of it and perfectly cooked. The service was excellent. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. The price was reasonable for Whitstable and the lovely meal was worth every penny. We'll be back!
Meal was lovely , but I requested to have skimmed milk (for medical reasons )with my coffee but was told when having the meal. this wasn't available so put a dampener on my meal as it was advertised as a 4 course meal and I only had 3 being they didn't read my requirement. Why ask for any dietary requirements if they don't read them
Had a lovely lunch, quality of the food was very good. Haddock was so fresh and well cooked and chips were very tasty. All round a lovely friendly pub with great food and a really good garden for children.
Not disappointed, Hunters chicken was mouth watering and very tasty, monumental burger out of this world, garlic bread was delicious and moorish, scampi and chips superb. Lovely atmosphere. Friends love to come here whenever they visit from Germany.
