My friend ordered a medium rare steak, twice it was well done and quite charred on the outside also. The rest of us had pretty much finished our meals by time her 2nd over cooked steak was brought out. Despite mentioning to staff (although visibly obvious the meal was not enjoyable) no offer to compensate was made. Service in general was a little slow unfortunately.

Great service but poor quality food and awful selection of veggie food - steaks were impossible to cut and chew

Meal was lovely , but I requested to have skimmed milk (for medical reasons )with my coffee but was told when having the meal. this wasn't available so put a dampener on my meal as it was advertised as a 4 course meal and I only had 3 being they didn't read my requirement. Why ask for any dietary requirements if they don't read them

Good Pub food. Great Service. Not the place to go if you would like a quiet meal as they have several TV screens. Staff were so welcoming.

Had a lovely lunch, quality of the food was very good. Haddock was so fresh and well cooked and chips were very tasty. All round a lovely friendly pub with great food and a really good garden for children.

affectionately Known as the 'Old Farts' club, me being the youngest of course!!! we visited on Friday 11/01/2019 its the first time we had been here as a club group, and we were not disappointed! the food was lovely and really generous portions for the money, our waitress was helpful, pleasant and attentive, I cant say we will return every month as we like to try other venues, usually in Whitstable as its central to most of us, but we will certainly add The Monument to our list of 'Go To' eating places.

Could not cut through beef even with sharper knife. Vegetables cold or raw. Surprisingly other meals that were edible were very tasty but cold. Dessert chosen also disappointing. Sadly will not be returning.

This was the best Sunday roast my family and I have had EVER! Absolutely delicious, plenty of it and perfectly cooked. The service was excellent. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. The price was reasonable for Whitstable and the lovely meal was worth every penny. We'll be back!

Not disappointed, Hunters chicken was mouth watering and very tasty, monumental burger out of this world, garlic bread was delicious and moorish, scampi and chips superb. Lovely atmosphere. Friends love to come here whenever they visit from Germany.
