We enjoyed our meal, although my fillet steak was not the most tender and my husband's gammon on his mixed grill was extremely salty. Also I ordered a mixed salad, which came already dressed. Unfortunately I have food intolerance issues. I only ate a small amount of the salad and became ill later and was really quite poorly during the night.

Visited on a Sunday evening, not very busy but nice atmosphere. Really friendly and efficient staff and we all enjoyed our food. We will definitely go again.

Arrived at 6.55pm for a reservation at 7.00pm. We were seated straight away and ordered our food within 10 minutes. We ordered bread and olives to start and then a burger each to follow. Bread and olives arrived with drinks and then nothing until 8.00pm! At this point I asked where our food was and the waitress went to find out. She returned a couple of minutes later to tell us that it was on the way - it arrived 5 minutes later. After the burgers, we decided against a dessert (life is too short) and asked for the bill. Ten minutes later we had to ask for the bill again! On this occasion, decent burger but poor service.

We visited the Ilkley Cow last night. The food was beautiful- couldn’t fault it. However unfortunately the table we we sat at was just in front of the door, so every time someone came in/went out we were freezing! The problem could be easily solved - close the 1st of the 2 doors. Apart from that. Lovely

Waitress was very attentive, but it was a quiet time of day. Food quite good- soup lovely. Rump steak was OK but pepper sauce was quite hot. Overall, good value for money.

We went on Monday evening, in part because of their opening offer. The food was fantastic and we both really enjoyed it. The service from the team was excellent and they are very attentive. I would love to go again and would certainly recommend to others reading this review!

Seafood (high risk food) was served still frozen. Steak was under-cooked (rare not medium). Need I say more?

Extremely slow service - after we were seated we had a long wait for menus and then a further wait to order drinks (the restaurant only had about 5 tables in). We ordered a sticky toffee pudding which came chilled - when we finally got somebody's attention to check if it should be warm they confirmed the 'kitchen had forgotten to heat it'. There was no real apology or offer to take this off our bill. We had a terrible experience and won't be returning.

I made a mistake when booking and thought that the normal menu was served along side the Sunday Lunch menu. The staff were very accommodating and offered us an alternative dish as my daughter wanted steak. The meals we had were excellent and the staff were very helpful. Even though I had made the error, the went out of their way to make our dining experience enjoyable. Thank you.

One male Member of staff was very rude. My main meal was very fatty and I was unable to even eat it. I complained and it wasn’t acknowledged.

Great service from attentive staff. Disappointing wine list, they used to serve an excellent Primotivo and to be frank this was one of the reasons to visit but it is no longer available! Good food - we all left clean plates.

Beautiful meal and great service. Portions were of a good size but not outfacing. Ordered some sides to come along with the starters which they didn’t, but the mistake was rectified quickly and the items given free of charge which was really appreciated. Will definitely return again

Fantastic Sunday lunch. Tender sirloin beef with all the traditional vegetables and tasty gravy. Excellent choice of starters and delicious deserts. First time after new ownership. Will be back soon.

Forgot to get our drinks twice. Said they wouldn’t charge for one of drinks but still charged. Friendly and food was great but service needs to improve.

The waitress was exceptional, we had a month old baby and nothing was a hassle. She was a credit to your restaurant. The food was fantastic and the lunch deal is great value for money.

Sunday lunch was fabulous. We started with calamari rings for my uncle and myself and my husband had the chicken wings. Both were delicious. I then had the sirloin of beef and my husband and uncle chose the sharers platter (a sirloin, brisket and grilled chicken combo) Both were served with a very generous portion of vegetables which were perfectly cooked, large fluffy Yorkshire puddings and very good goose fat roasted potatoes. We were all too full for dessert, and even had to take a “doggie bag” of sirloin and chicken home for our cat, which she absolutely loved! The staff were great too. Welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our whole dining experience was first class. This was our first visit for Sunday lunch to this restaurant ( we normally come here on an evening) but it definitely won’t be our last. Highly recommended.

Always amazing food here, very polite and courteous staff. The steaks are cooked to perfection and the veg that accompanies it is always to a high standard. Will definitely visit again.

Sunday lunch as good as ever. We’ve been coming back for a few years now and we always enjoy the Sunday lunch here. The tried the sharing board and it was fabulous

We have been here many times as the moody cow, similar menu and food good. Service appalling, had to Waite 15 mins to be asked for a drink, again a long time to be brought to the table. This was the same for the rest of service. One member oh staff too busy drinking shots with apparently friends to Waite on table. No communication between staff members what so ever. Likely cow get your act together.

Great food and service, sharing platter x 2 was perfect for family of 4, kids menu good value - the kids loved it and cleared their plates for a free ice cream!

Pleasant enough evening, but not quite at the high level we had previously experienced. Steak was good, but the sides were underwhelming with the chef far too heavy handed with the onions.

Really enjoyable experience yet again. The chateaubriand was cooked to perfection and is highly recommended! Very nice atmosphere as well especially given it was a wet weekend at the end of January. Highly recommended.
