It was extremely warm upstairs. Made it very uncomfortable. Not great service either.

The service, although adequate, could have been a little more attentive. A number of tables around us, who were seated much after us received their drinks and bread long before we received ours. Once we placed our orders, things seemed to fall into place. I suspect the staff are relatively new and not overly experienced.

Drinks and appetizer (fried haggis) were great. Entrees were good but not outstanding. Worst part was that it was SLOW. We were interested in dessert but because everything else had taken so long to that point (over 90 mins) we decided to pass. One server looked like she was really working hard.. the others just kind of seemed to be floating around without accomplishing a whole lot. Our waters were empty for some time, dirty/empty plates sat on the table for a while before they were cleared.. just didn’t seem like great attention.

Very disappointed this time unfortunately. The starter was lovely but our main courses were bland with broccoli too uncooked to eat. Chose lighter courses in anticipation of having the usual beautiful cheesecake only to find it’s been taken off the menu which was a huge disappointment. We won’t be back. The waiting staff were lovely only good comments about them.

Very pleqsed with quality of food and friendly service. It was a little too noisy for me because there was a large group downstairs and background music. I would whole-heartedly recommend this restaurant.

The staff at the MustardSeed was amazing-very prompt and attentive to my every need. The food was very good, and I enjoyed everything from starters to dessert and cappuccino! Be sure to book early, they fill up reservations very quickly.

The gnocchi special was cold and flavorless. Was supposed to be a white wine garlic sauce. It was orange and no garlic. The venison was a little tough. The solespecial was amazing. The waitstaff was amazing.

Our food arrived barely warm and my husband's rib-eye steak was the worst rib-eye he has ever eaten. It was filled with a silverskin type membrane that made the meat difficult to cut and eat not the marbling that typically make the steak tender. I had the cod and although the flavour was nice, the dish was not hot.

We were disappointed with the food to be honest. So much so, they removed the cost of one of the mains.

The whole dining experience was great. Excellent food, well served with lovely atmosphere.

We enjoyed two of our four meals, spinach and ricotta cannelloni (actually used tortellini), but still delicious. The steak dinners were a disappointment—tough and over cooked.

Just had a gorgeous meal, new menu. We had pork belly with black pudding and it was yummy. The service was outstanding, the staff really know how to sell the menu and explain everything in detail. Superb time and look forward to our next visit.

Service good as always but all broccoli was severely undercooked, the steak was very tough and the cod tasteless. So overall the worst food we’ve ever had at the Mustard Seed. Very disappointing.

Service was non existent. We had to ask for a menu after being seated with a reservation. Wait staff barely had smiles on their faces and just dropped off the food and rushed by.
