Food was fresh & fabulous! We highly recommend this restaurant!

Indifferent service, food mediocre. I like the restaurant -lovely venue and atmosphere but it just wasn’t up to usual standard on this occasion and the experience was disappointing.

Sunday roast, and beef was a little tough. Beef olives and the meat was too tough to eat. So it was left. Sweet/ dessert menu, was strange concoctions. So 6 of us didn’t order anything.

Hostess very efficient, even informed us that food would take longer than expected. Portions very small for price.

Weather was beautiful - would have loved to have sat on the balcony while the sun was out! Definitely opportunity to optimise the warm days! But the food was excellent, as was the service; thank you.

Excellent efficient service and high quality food for reasonable price. My friend said her fish pie was the best she’d ever had and she almost always has fish dishes when eating out. Lovely table with a river view too. A real treat.

As requested, we were given seats downstairs, and the food and service was as good as ever. We don't live in Inverness, but always try to eat at the Mustard Seed when we are staying overnight in town. Will be eating here whenever we can... Thanks!

We visited the restaurant as it was on the River and were looking forward to the views. Unfortunately we were seated in a small back room with no windows making for an underwhelming experience. Otherwise, the food and staff were great.

Very friendly and professional staff. Though restaurant was very busy, they always had time for you.

The food was good, unfortunately the service was not great. They were inattentive and not very welcoming at all.

Disappointingly the roast of the day was sold out by 1pm. Food and service good.

We always visit the Mustard Seed when in Inverness, and it never disappoints. Thoroughly recommended.

As always we were welcomed and the food was excellent. Unfortunately we were shown to a table in a packed area where it was difficult to speak. We had booked well in advance to celebrate a special occasion so this was disappointing. After discussion with staff and a longish wait we were moved to a more suitable table which we appreciated. Whilst we know profits are important it is good to remember so is the customer experience. Hence the slightly lower marking of satisfaction.

Booked 2 months in advance asking for a table with a view If possible. Arrived on time. escorted to a table which had not been set, and looked directly into the staff working/ cleaning area. Never shown the daily specials . Waitress clueless and unable to open our wine.food average and definitely not value for money. Definitely our worst dining experience in Scotland over 3 weeks

We visited at lunchtime and had food from the set menu which we were very impressed by. The food was great value for such high quality produce. Can highly recommend the Stornoway black pudding and blue cheese bon bons starter and the Chef’s Own Fish Pie main was amazing. Would definitely return next time we visit Inverness. Staff, ambience and surroundings all added to this wonderful restaurant. If you’re undecided about where to eat in Inverness go to The Mustard Seed!

Generally good although I personally found the choices on the menu a bit restricted given my personal preferences.

A lovely venue inside but our experience was disappointing. Our meals were luke warm, the portions small relative to the cost and the service was mediocre and slow. Our waitress wasn't sharp or that on it and this always sets the tone of one's experience. I wouldn't return in a hurry and didn't feel it was value for money.

A lovely greeting at the door, an amazing atmosphere, the team were great. The food was delicious, I had the specials, mussels and duck, both were presented beautifully and tasted awesome. It was a perfect birthday evening out. Well done.

My partner and I had yet another great meal in this wonderful restaurant. I’ve been many times over the years and have never been disappointed. Lovely food and great atmosphere and at a very reasonable price which is difficult to find these days. Well done to all the staff for their hard work and excellent service. My only complaint would be that you have to book well in advance as they are so popular but hey ho it’s definitely worth the wait. 😊

The food was good, not great. Risotto was bland and mushy. Our server was not friendly. From prior reviews we were expecting more. The restaurant is very quiet upstairs
