Nope. After one hour and 15 minutes we still did not have our food. When it arrived, my order was completely wrong and half missing. The steak my sister had was not good but she enjoyed the potatoes. The chicken and monk fish were good but risotto was inedible. Our server did not mention specials and did not ask for drink order before asking what we wanted to order. Our server seemed new, but also not very interested, the manager tried to salvage plethora of mistakes but average food at high prices will not have us returning nor recommending. We had such high expectations but boo.

Pork-and-apple burger was too salty and otherwise dry and tasteless. The apple-cinnamon crumble tasted stale. The server was hard to find, and the hostess had to fill in for her.

Getting the check from the time we finished eating took almost 45 minutes, despite asking the server and seeing them attend to other people multiple times after we requested. We ended up getting up to try to talk to someone to get it, but our original server walked straight past us as well as who we think was the restaurant manager (though not sure). Food was decent, but overall the restaurant seemed overrated given the reviews.

We had a great meal at the Mustard Seed. The staff are super friendly and helpful, the food was amazing and the place itself is a great venue. Our only issue was that it felt a bit rushed, but that was a very small negative. Would definitely recommend the Mustard Seed as a great place to eat.

Wir waren auf Empfehlung von Freunden dort und hatten daher auch reserviert. Eine kluge Entscheidung. Trotz des vollbesetzten Restaurants hat alles gepasst. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Overall our meals were good with the following exceptions: A very small beef olive, the beef of which was very tough and relatively tasteless. The mustard sauce with the black pudding was quite rich and the pea and spinach that accompanied the fish pie was not good. The chicken was quite tough and the potatoes, although described as roasted were more like diced boiled baby potatoes

We had a lovely meal, with a lovely couple of guys waiting on us, beautiful food apart from the crumble that my mam and I had, which wasn’t really very crumbly (if that’s a word) but t all round a lovely lunch for my mam&dads birthdays.

The overall experience was up to usual standards, excellent. Only "fly in the ointment" was the table close to the exit and the register. However this was not that intrusive.

Would have preferred to have sat up on ‘the balcony tier’ rather than the side room near the entrance, given that we had booked quite a few weeks ago. However, food and service were excellent - will recommend

The only gourmet thing about this restaurant is the small portions for steep prices. The food was bland and not well cooked. The “king prawn” was medium-sized and tasted like frozen rubbery shrimp. The rice was under-cooked and tasted like it was mixed with canned diced tomatoes with no added flavoring. Mixed drinks are weak. A very loud, busy, and trendy restaurant with little substance to back the hype.

Being from Canada maybe my perception is skewed, but every bit of food was incredible. We had a mixed salad with strawberries, figs and goat cheese and it was so fresh, flavourful and well balanced. My wife had the salmon and I had venison. Best venison I’ve ever tasted. In fact, I wouldn’t have believed venison could be so tender and pleasantly full flavoured - not gamey at all. Dessert was white chocolate cheesecake and strawberry crème brûlée. Just amazing! And our server Hollie made this probably the most special anniversary dinner my wife and I have had in 15 years. It’s not cheap, but you must try this place.

Loved this restaurant. The food was great. The service was just ok. It was very quick to get our food but our server wasn’t on the ball. I ordered a drink that I never got and she forgot to give us spoons for soup. It was noisy, but it was a beautiful space!

My wife and I were in town for her birthday and we loved trying a lot of the local fare based on friends' recommendations and ratings—and top of the list was The Mustard Seed. Knowing it was a popular place, we tried going by both the make-a-reservation route and the pop-by early walk-in route with no luck. We checked again about a week later and were excited to finally see an opening for 5pm on a Thursday, about 2 days in advance. After all the hype, we were ecstatic to try the food and sadly . . . service was transactional (but very professional), cocktails were sweeter than expected, and the main dishes were underwhelming. The sauce in our pre-theater dinners was really salty, the rice was undercooked, and the peas were hard. However, the seafood starter with the salmon pate and prawns were absolutely divine. And so was the carrot soup. Despite everything, we really liked the ambience and look forward to trying it again in the off-chance it's slow enough for a warmer experience with more attention paid to the main dishes.

The food was to a very high standard as always. However, we had booked a table for 1700 thinking this was ample time for a meal before heading to the theatre at 1915. A short time after ordering our desserts, a very large group of US tourists arrived and from this time the service level dipped considerably. There were quite simply not enough staff to deal with a full restaurant. As a result there was a significant delay in our dessert being cleared and receiving our coffee. Our coffee was thereafter rushed and we made it to the theatre with two minutes to spare which was far from ideal. I think it is important to remember that large groups of tourists bring money however they generally only visit once. Do not neglect your local customers who have a number of other options to choose from.
