Beautiful location, but the food was average and the service was inattentive. There seemed to be a level of disengagement during any interaction with staff. I would not recommend to others.

Great views out of the top floor, great place to sit and enjoy an evening out. Good service and staff was on the ball, enjoyed our meals, well done.

Restaurant was really busy, so a bit noisy, however the food and service were great so well done to the team!

From the moment we arrived to the time we left, every staff member was friendly, helpful, and professional! The drinks and food were outstanding! It was a fabulous way to celebrate 30th wedding anniversary!

It was not a very welcoming atmosphere. When we entered the restaurant we stood awkwardly at the entrance for several minutes. People who worked there walked right past us without making eye contact of greeting us. The manager was maybe 3 feet away speaking with other employees and and also never made eye contact or any type of welcome. I began to think we were in the wrong place or had entered through the wrong door. That "warm" service was consistent throughout the night. We had to ask multiple times for water. when the main courses came, they brought 3 out of the 4. We waited at least 5 minutes for the 4th dish to be brought out, by which time the 3 that had been sitting at the table untouched were now cold. The food was ok, not great. Didn't come close to our expectations based on the reviews we had read online. I ordered the salmon. I should have known that was not a good choice when the server said the chef serves is well done. I asked for medium. When the fish came out i knew immeditately that is was overcooked because i was served the thin tail piece. It is chef lesson 101 to save the thin pieces for customers who want a more well done dish and a thicker piece for a customer who wants a less well done dish. This provides alot more room for error. Needless to say, my fish was very well done and quite dry. None of the other dishes were anything to write home about either. I would not go back.

I only had the basic lunch menu but it was all very good with a good 'buzz' in the restaurant.

I took a friend along who had never had the Mustard Seed Experience. She was blown away. We had a delicious lunch. You have a discreet way of attending to detail. Great job. Great team. Thank you to you all for making it what it was.

Staff needs a hard lesson on customer service. From the greeting at the door, no one do much as attempted to smile. Servers hung at their station rather than notice that our small table was full of used glasses. We had a number of different wait staff at our table but they were, non-the-less, never actually working. Food was fine. Chicken with tomatoes was quite bland, but the monk fish was delicious.

Both of us had the pasta which you could tell were homemade. The meals were delicious. I especially enjoyed their red pepper sauce on the appetizer I got and the Cranach dessert! Restaurant ambiance was cool and eclectic. The staff were friendly and professional.

Lovely food as always, lunch menu 100% worth every penny. Waiter very knowledgeable about wine we chose.

This was a wonderful place for dinner after ending the Great Glen Way thru hike! The shrimp pasta was perfect! Service was attentive but not overly fussy! Thanks for the recommendation Absolute Escapes.

My wife and I both thoroughly enjoyed our meal! It was definitely the treat our daughters intended when they purchased the gift voucher. I loved the taste of my tzatziki chicken and ate my rump steak slowly in an effort to savour the different flavours in the sauces and texture of the meat. Perhaps a bigger selection of alcohol free beers would be good.(Erdinger). 9.5 out of ten.

The service was great and some of our food was lovely I think explanations of what the actual dish it rather than just what it comes with would be a better idea as I ordered lamb wraps and it was minced lamb meat in a pastry- it doesn’t really add up to be the same and unfortunately it didn’t taste great I was hoping for lamb not minced lamb.

Delicious food as always! Service was fast and efficient although the waitress was slightly abrupt, but it was very busy.

The highlight of our visit to Inverness! We were here once before (in 2010) and our fond memories were fulfilled on this visit. The menu has excellent options and our selections were delicious and satisfying. The service was spot on, not too slow and not to fast, just right and relaxing. Already looking forward to our next visit some years from now.

Great place, excellent location, wonderful atmosphere and. very nice food. Felt a bit less personal with service on autopilot, but other than that a place we highly recommend.

We've dined here many times for over 25 years, and we're pleased the same high standards are being maintained since the change in management. Staff are professional, friendly, and very efficient. I was very happy with my choice of Monkfish which was very imaginative and tasty. My husband was disappointed with his Duck which he thought was underwhelming, and lacked quantity and quality. Hopefully this was just a glitch in an otherwise favourite restaurant.
