The Mustard Seed Restaurant

I had been before but my husband hadn’t. We had a wonderful meal from start to finish. The different menu options were great and I sincerely appreciated the gluten free/dairy free/vegetarian labels on certain dishes. The setting and decor are beautiful and located right on the river, it really is a beautiful restaurant. The online booking experience with Quandoo was simple and I appreciated being asked to confirm my appointment a few days before - this gave me confidence my booking hasn’t been forgotten! Will definitely be back!

Quickly seated upstairs as per booking preference and given a range of menus to select from. Two of the starters were maybe a wee bit overdone but very tasty. One of the mains was undercooked risotto and grains of rice hard. The rest were lovely though they forgot our fries which we got when our meal was nearly finished. Love the Mustard Seed and would still highly recommend and will return soon.

Everyone was courteous and attended to us well , especially the lady who ran up and down to fetch tomato ketchup for my children .

Myself and my mum went for the 2 course lunch menu. There was lots of choice and the food was lovely. The service was fantastic..always a joy to visit this restaurant.

Lovely food, fantastic atmosphere and such a goooood waiter! We were running on with our lunch and they shuffled things so we didn’t have to vacate the table! Excellent service! Definitely be back

Beautiful delicious food, great service and a nice ambiance. Very reasonable prices and good portion size. My wife is coeliac and they accommodated with very good range of GF options. Polite, efficient and knowledgeable staff. Would highly recommend

Our regular go to when we hit the city from Skye. And our favourite restaurant in Inverness. Top class food and good wines. Recommend Ardgay venison and Amarone wine. Followed by sticky toffee pudding (aka WTF STF), cheese and chasers of Lagavulin 16 & Glenfiddich 18. Yum…

Excellent all round service. Very attentive staff. Great food and overall a fantastic experience. We will definitely be returning in the new year.

It was a delightful experience dining in the Mustard Seed. It's a local haunt I'd like to be visiting more than I do, and perhaps in 2024 I will manage a few more visits! :)

Food was amazing and staff were very friendly and helpful

We were a table of four and were eating from the Christmas set menu We all had the prawn starter and turkey main . The starter had stop much fish and we could not taste the small prawns . The main did not have enough roast potatoes , not enough veg and no bread sauce . Our table spent £200 and none of us feel it was worth it at all .

enjoyed our visit with excellent food however the table location was not good as we were positioned in a very drafty corridor making our visit very uncomfortable and although we were moved overall the top floor was on the cold and drafty
