we enjoyed up to a point the service at the end was poor and the heating wasn't on so the place was cold

My third visit here and it won’t be my last. Booked lunch for two friends who had traveled up from Leicester on a rainy Saturday. Lovely warm relaxed environment and the food was first class. We took ages chatting and weren’t rushed in the slightest. Helped to make a great day for all.

Will visit again when over from Scarborough- good variety of meals but disappointed that the crab cakes were not on the menu in the restaurant but they are on the online menu.

We had a brilliant time at The New Conservatory. Friendly & attentive staff. Comfortable surroundings. Excellent menu. Loved the food (we had nachos then halloumi burgers & recommend both) & delicious cocktails. Will return.

We had a really enjoyable evening even after a friend had her bag stolen while we were in Costa waiting for everyone to arrive.

Arrived early but they managed to find us a table anyway and the food and service was excellent.

This proved to be an excellent place to meet up with family and chat without being rushed. It was lunch time and they were busy, but not full. Although downstairs, it is a large airy space. We were in the quieter "library" end - the background music was a bit loud at the other end. We had the "earlybird" menu and it was perfect for a lunch - risotto and lasagne good, also the desserts. Staff were friendly. We'll use it again.

We booked a table so all 4 of us could have the early bird menu 3 course for £15 pounds it was still on the web page told when we asked for this it hadn’t been available for 2 weeks so it was double the price

Food was excellent, very well done and beautifully presented however service was not!! Asked for water when ordering our meal but it never materialised. Had to ask twice for our dessert Also when the bill came had to point out that we had a special offer and bill had to be redone even though it was shown on the booking !!

Fabulous service. The staff were attentive without being pushy and my 1 year old daughter was welcomed with open arms. Love supporting an independent business and excited to see their upcoming renovations.
