Thinking about making a The New Dhanak Deira booking?

The Indian subcontinent is a huge place, and the diversity of cuisine available across the whole peninsula is astounding. While we in the UK are very well catered for in the way of Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi cooking – and it isn’t that hard to find Sri Lankan, Nepalese and Afghan restaurants with a little effort as well – we often lack the authentic tastes found in the region. One such cuisine that is beloved in India but not found outside is Indian-Chinese, the fusion between the two countries that developed in Kolkata, where there is a large Chinese community. The New Dhanak Deira on Blackburn Road in Astley Bridge brings this unique culinary style to Bolton, so set a course for their restaurant to try it for yourself.

The New Dhanak Deira menu includes some of the biggest hitters of Indian Chinese cooking. Begin with a chicken lollipop, marinated in pomegranate and served with a Sichuan style sauce, followed by a lamb Manchurian, a sizzling hot plate with chillies and a tangy sauce. All your favourite Indian staples are there as well – tandoori starters and classic curries for example – and there are plenty of house signatures. We’d point you in the direction of the lamb nihari, a slow cooked shank with plenty of spice and herbs, or the magaz, sheep’s brain fresh from the pan. Book online now and get the family together for a trip to The New Dhanak Deira, one of the best Indian restaurants in Astley Bridge.
