Our first time there. Super food, sirloins for mains, eton mess for pud. Cracking Rioja. Special thanks to Cara and Kyle for looking after us.Lovely evening and certainly will go again. A few noisy small children but it's a family place. They make noise!

Very welcoming on arrival. Disappointed that we were sat in bar area not the restaurant. Booked 10 days prior to our visit Was not a last minute booking . Slow to take drinks order. Service did improve. Food delicious. Would definitely return and recommend
Lovely food and very pleasant staff a great meal all round
Great pub, with very friendly staff and amazing food at a good price. Defiantly recommend this place.
Very good food and service. Definitely will be back soon.
The staff were friendly, the food was delicious. Great place for a casual lunch with friends. Will definitely be returning.
Helpfull staff, good vegan and vegetarian food, pleasant evening for the family
Lovely setting & great food & friendly staff Slight shame that my vegetarian daughter ordered a margarita pizza but was handed a pepperoni pizza🤔. We had to ask for our onion rings which had been ordered. Odd as the restaurant didn’t appear to be very busy & we had the same server as a week ago who was great.
Love this place, food is amazing, service brill and staff all lovely! Great family friendly pub.
Serviced was very rushed and quality of food was very average. Waiter asked if we needed anything else, I asked for black pepper and it never appeared!
First time visit and we were very impressed. Will be back!
Unfortunately it was live band night, due to weather they had to play inside! Their music not to our taste, very loud, very rough type of people there. Main course took 45 minutes to arrive, waitresexcellent
The lunchtime menu was a little limited for my taste so ended up having a jacket potato as some choices were off the menu. It was OK but the menu needs a re-vamp.
Excellent roast in lovely airy restaurant would highly recommend this place
Been here before and will be back good food and pleasant surroundings
Beautiful food, good service, very reasonable prices, lovely site in pretty surroundings.
First time dining at The old thatch and would definitely recommend, lovely food, friendly staff, very welcoming and cozy feel.
The food and service were lovely. We also really enjoyed the live entertainment Aphrodites, a vivacious and talented act which certainly enhanced our evening. A thoroughly satisfying experience.
One meal in our party was served really quick which was a reheated lasagne with burnt edges and one piece of COLD garlic bread! Also the peas on which our cod was placed were cold.

We went early evening on a Wednesday so the restaurant part was quiet, which suited us. The service was good and the four different dishes we had were all very nice. We have been here before and always enjoyed a nice meal and good service. I would recommend anyone to give the Old Thatch a try. It’s a nice pub too!!!
we had a great evening even though there was only one staff on but he was absolutely brilliant a credit to the place
The Hospitality and Carvery was first class Roast Beef excellent
good as usual apart from the steak not being cooked to my liking
Great service, reasonable light lunches not overly expensive, def worth visiting
Lovely pub and amazing carvery. Gary who served up the carvery was excellent offering choice of beef cut and ensuring you were happy with the portion! Thank you for a lovely lunch!
First visit to the thatch for a while . Food was amazing. Service friendly and lovely atmosphere
Great food & service. Lovely pub. Can’t fault it. Highly recommended.
We have used the Old Thatch a lot over many years as we live very close and were impressed that it is back up to standard again after some troubled times. The food was good quality but we went on a busy day (Fathers Day) so the carvery had sold out by the evening. The service was excellent and our guest that we took really liked the place. We will be back to try again.
We got off to a sticky start as the table close by kept opening the fire door and it was a bit chilly The staff moved us and couldn't be more helpful food was excellent.
Good menu, but nothing really for bigger kids. The kids menu was aimed at very young children, my 11yo struggled to find something she wanted. But the service was very good. And a nice atmosphere at The Thatch
Visited with family after winning 2 free main meals in the quiz. Hadn't eaten there previously but really enjoyed the food and the service was good too. Will definitely return for a meal again in the future.
We found the soup was luke warm and all the main courses were overdone. So much so that my mum thought that it was pastry on top of her lasagne instead of pasta. We also found the restaurant very draughty.
The Carvery was excellent with a good selection of veg and crackling to die for .
Excellent food, friendly staff and a relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Very happy the old Thatch has reopened great food/Service great welcome from the new landlord we will be back 😋😋
The black rock grill was absolutely amazing. Friendly staff very nice surroundings.
Great friendly service with good food. Traditional pub with good parking.
Had the Carvery, lovely food and great service! We’ll be back!
Lovely table , welcomed with free drinks for our 25th wedding anniversary , amazing meal , starters carvery and dessert with happy anniversary piped on to the plate nothing was to much trouble , thank you so much we will return
We went with friends to celebrate my wife’s birthday and we had a very enjoyable time. I sent an email the day prior to our visit requesting a birthday cake. I enquired on arrival, as I had not had a reply, and it was discovered that the email had Ben received but with ‘no text’. That was not a problem, the manager went out to a local bakery and purchased a birthday cake for me and saved the day. You do not get that everywhere, if at all. This was our first visit but will certainly not be our last. Thank you a million.
Went for Sunday carvery and it was fantastic, meat was amazing! Our daughter had the children’s cod and chips and ate it all up and to our surprise hers was free to celebrate the new kids play area.
Good place to enjoy friends’ company in a congenial atmosphere.
Friendly staff, lovely carvery and to die for hand made desserts
Great food and amazing staff. Bonus entertainment too. Cash Converted
The food was really nice and the staff were very good. They also had live music that finished off the night lovely
Excellent service and very good food.Good presentation. At 21.00h live music started.Where we were sitting it was fine but when we had to go across the pub to go out it was deafening. Good value for money.
