The Royal Redgate

Fantastic to see The Royal Redgate back open. The meal was superb and staff are always friendly. Highly recommend going.

Tasty lunchtime light meal. Great service. Really nice baguettes, but felt the garnish and side chips had room for improvement. Nice Rose wine at a reasonable price 👍

1st time out since lockdown so was apprehensive but didn’t need to be. The place is so relaxed and everyone is spaced out the place feels airy and welcoming as it did before the madness. We thoroughly enjoyed my birthday meal there and the food as always was beautiful. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, highly recommend.

As always, the food was superb and the service excellent. As a bonus we actually bought some of the paté that's made on the premises - it was delicious. We've eaten many meals here both before the fire and after and never had a bad one yet. Yes, there are cheaper meals to be had but you'll go a long way to find a better one. You get what you pay for and here you get a wonderful taste experience. Highly recommended.

Yummy food, the baguettes and chips are delicious, friendly service. Very clean.

The service and food and beerb was lovely. The pub was a bit cold.

This was our first time at the royal red gate and I can say this won’t be our last! Lovely food and great atmosphere

Staff attentive and friendly, albeit a little too keen trying to clear plates before meal finished.. pie was nice, menu could do with wider choice of vegetables but happy with what we ordered. Fillet steak was presented and cooked well but tasteless, mentioned this to team about sourcing and they plan to share this with chef.. overall a pleasant evening..

Food was fantastic, especially the chips. Nice seating. Only downside was the unfriendly staff that made us feel slightly unwelcome. Hope to return there and hopefully the service will be nicer next time.

Good excellent food. However when the bill came there were four items added that were not ours. The total was approx £20 more than it should have been. Fortunately we noticed.

Staff were friendly and attentive Food was superb!! The pies are delicious!!

The staff here were very efficient and friendly. We requested our chateaubriand medium, just a little pink in the middle, not raw, but it arrived with the middle fairly raw. The waiter happily took it back to the kitchen to have it cooked some more and this was not a problem for us. The chateaubriand was very tender and delicious and we would order it again. We have eaten here a few times and the staff and food have always been great and will definitely eat here again.

Table booked in my name wasn’t on the system. Didn’t know it was a set menu until we got there , nearly didn’t get our free bubbles with the set menu. But the Prosecco didn’t taste that nice. Use to come here every 3 monthly but after last night I don’t think we will again.
